Golden Technologies Relaxer Medium Lift Chair PR-756MC

I had mixed results on this purchase. First, the chair is advertised as fitting someone 5'4" to 5'10" and less than 375#. My mom is 5'1" and 210# but the chair is TIGHT (see photo of chair fit). Second, I purchased the Shiraz fabric but it arrived with a defect in fabric on the leg rest (see photo of fabric defect). Finally, the chair REQUIRES batteries that were NOT provided with the chair. I paid a premium price for a well made in America chair and it did not meet my initial expectations. I plan to update this review at a later date after the chair has had some use.UPDATE on 4/12/17 - The chair has worn well but has electronic glitches. Twice it has stopped working and left my elderly mom stranded with her feet up, calling for help. Both times I had to unplug the chair and plug it back in about 20 seconds later (computer reset method) for the chair to return to normal operation. This is VERY TROUBLING to my mom when it happens!

I ordered the PR-756MC Relaxer in Hazelnut for $1199.99. It was not actually in stock so Phillips Health Care upgraded me to the large chair for free. The delivery was faster than promised, the shipping agent called and arranged a delivery time for the next day, so if I was home I might have even gotten it a day sooner. The chair arrived completely assembled in a box on a pallet. Be advised this chair does not have a back that can be removed with simple latches, this is because the mechanisms move the chair to greater angles than the chairs with removable backs. It does has a pin to lower the back. Slip out the pin and the back can lower so the chair can go through doors Much easier - tilt the chair on its side and it can go through 27..30" doors depending on how hard you squeeze the cushions. The chair is excellent and is 'infinite' position : Zero Gravity and beyond. Independent back and leg controls allow this infinite positioning All operations are smooth and quiet. The back pillows are zippered and can be adjusted to desired 'plumpness'. The chair is sturdy, excellent engineering design and superb construction 'Made in the U.S.A'. The owners manual is in one of the full length pockets on the sides and the instructions include the 'new' controller and how to program the buttons.
