The D810 has great features that we use in our business, which is measuring as-built structures and piping systems within waste water plants and petroleum refineries.The really nice function within the device is the ability to measure pipe diameters at a distance, which is tremendously helpful when piping can be seen but is inaccessible for contact measurement. A good example of this is standing on the plant floor, and the pipes that you want to measure are 1 or more stories above.Using the color screen to view the target is also extremely helpful (if not essential), as the red dot is often not visible when making long outdoor measurements.I've only touched on a few things here because I've yet to go through the whole manual. In general, this is a fantastic device and highly recommended for field use.

Extremely accurate! Wish we would have purchased this item long ago. This item has dramatically decreased the time it takes to collect data in the field. Also the battery last an incredibly long time. The camera features had came in handy many times as well, when the target it too far away to see the laser or when there is too much light washing the red dot of the laser out.

take 30~45 sec to start it, that's the only part i really don't like it
