Brocraft Power Lock Fully Adjustable Rod Holder with Aluminum Universal Clamp/Jon Boat Rod Holder

Nicely designed rod holders. No drilling, and you can move them around your boat easily. I move them to set up for trolling, then move them around for different types of fishing... like holding rods for white perch fishing with the rods level over the water and splayed out off the back. Easily adjusted.The only improvement I could imagine for these would be having a little ball bearing on the ends of the little suction clamp rubber things so that the clamps could flex to different angles where the unit is mounted. My boat has all sorts of weird angles. But still works great, very secure.No more crappy plastic mounts that you have to drill into the boat hull with and then they stay in the same place. I imagine you could use these very easily on a dock railing as well. The rod holders can mount to two different spots on the clamp. Very versatile. Great rod holders. Highly recommended.***UPDATE*** July 15 2018- Not recommended. The cheapness is starting to show. One of the rubber clamp points at the end of the screw broke off... both now wont adjust properly and knobs are jamming up. Cant figure out why. Ehhh.... didn't last half a season without both having serious issues... I'm not that hard on my stuff these were taken care of, boat stored in garage. They stayed in some places on boat mostly and weren't moved around a whole lot. NOT DURABLE. Both are still functional however but they are both wobbly with serious adjustment issues present. Had these been holding up I'd still give five stars. Not anymore. Goodbye wasted money on crap. I imagine by the end of summer both will completely break and will be in the garbage. I can salvage parts off of them though.What's crazy is I have two. Its not one with serious issues. ITS BOTH! Says something about the quality right there.Oh how convenient they are not in stock anymore. Another wasteful temporary product.Thanks BroCraft!!!

This looked like it would be a great rod holder. It can be adjusted to fit almost any way you want however... I used it the first time and the rotating collar to hold the rod in, fell off and into the water never to be seen again as I was finishing my first fishing trip with this rod holder. It is absolutely no good anymore. Unless of course, the seller sends me a new piece or a whole new unit. In the meantime though, I have several days of fishing to do and I'm going to have to buy myself a new rod holder SO... I'd like the seller to refund my money.UPDATE: They right away sent me the replacement, 1/2 ring however a CAVEAT: They right away sent me the piece that fell off (which fell off really easily). If they have this particular piece available so readily, something tells me this falls off a lot. I frankly wouldn't buy this product.

Versatility and strong. Pontoon rails are connected to panels. Scotty product. You’d be drilling holes in panels to run bolts through to connect that. I’m not drilling holes in my new boat and ruin panels!! This product clamps in multiple configurations. Ideal and portable. If your worried about bending and scratching up panels. Buy furniture felt pads. Stick em on protect panels 👍🏻

The lock collar ring popped off the first time I used it, sinking into the lake, as others have said. I contacted the seller and they immediately sent me a new lock collar free of charge. Thanks to Brocraft for standing behind their product. Play with it on land first, make sure the lock collar ring is in the right place and that you know how to use it or it could pop off. After that it's been great on my canoe. Been out six or seven times with it. The clamp can be vertical for the side wall or horizontal clamped to the canoe yolk, that's where I use it most. Able to troll as I row without the rod getting in the way of the paddle yet the rod is right in front of me if I get a strike. Landed a number of fish while trolling including a 4lb smallmouth bass. Keep your reel drag right and this will work great.

I needed adjustable rod holders for my Chesapeake Light Craft Peeler Skiff. They needed to be rugged enough to troll for stripers and bluefish, adjustable, and able to clamp to the Peeler's gunwales or quarter knees. I've been very impressed by the large aluminum C-clamps and the strength of the adjustable reinforced nylon components. --- all at a very reasonable price. Used 2 of them for the season to catch some beautiful Striped Bass. Strong and easy to mount and use.

Ran into this brand not long ago after buying two rod holders from Eagle Claw. The two I bought are not too bad, but they were more expensive than this Brocraft brand. From the Brocraft, I do like the metal clamp, it seems of better quality than most rod holders out in the market. I actually used it last weekend fishing a river from my truck, set up the rod holder right on the side of the bed of the truck, it did good. I would buy another one if I needed it. Good product overall.

It was a really solid rod holder until the plastic piece at the end of the clamping screw just fell off and is now at the bottom of the lake rendering the product unless. I tried to contact Brocraft to see about getting a replacement part and their responses are barley in English and I was asked to "send pictures to show remain part..." To a random cell phone number. I'm not convinced they even understand what I contacted them about. Would not recommend Brocraft.

Very sturdy design. Works better with my sit-in kayak than expected. the clamping mechanism does take a bit more space than expected too, which limits where I can fasten it.

Used a few times on my Kevlar canoe. I cut some 4"x6" pieces of 1/2" plywood for either side of the hull so it didn't create undue stress on the small surface area of the camp. It worked great, and I'm pleased with the purchase.

Clamp seems very robust. Rod fits in nicely and there is a plastic ring that rotates to stop rod from bouncing out. Clamps onto rail of pontoon boat no problem and stays where you put it. Will buy another one.....

rod doesn't really fit well, it meant for something 10 inches in diameter, rod flops around like a cookie in a pail.. we used so we cant return it, other wise it would be sent back in a heart beat.

The clamp and the holder are excellent. The locking ring that holds the rod in place pops off far too easily...in my case it popped off and fell into the water.

I like the way it clamps on to my aluminum boat edge better than the other 2 well known brands I've tried and cheaper

great price came fast and they are well made ...not cheap like other ones that i ordered awhile back

Came in the mail broke......plastic was cracked. And the hole to twist the support on the boat wasn’t working. The threads we not there. The other one I got worked great. Still using it. Tried to contact for a replacement. And not a response.

I place then on both. Just needed to buy an extension.

Hard to stay in place on a plastic kayak. It is heavy but seems well made. However I've only tried it once so far.
