Metro Inflator/Deflator
My friends and I have been using this product for many years to inflate our whitewater rafts. It works well, and I like that I can use it to deflate the rafts as well as inflate. This is a big plus at river take-outs when we need to deflate the boats as quickly and completely as possible to get them loaded on the trailer. This product WILL NOT completely inflate a raft, because it isn't designed to. This is a high volume, low pressure inflator. It will quickly get your raft to about 60-70%, then you must use a high pressure pump to top it off. I'm not sure that folks understand that when they buy it. They think it's not working right when it doesn't get their inflatable item rock hard. I also like that this product comes in either a 12-volt model and a battery clamp model. I prefer the 12-volt model for ease of use in the front and rear cargo area outlets of my SUV. The only reason I have to buy a new "orange torpedo" every few years is that people aren't careful, and they keep stepping on/ driving over the plug end.

Works, but could use a few refinements.
We purchased this to inflate a whitewater rafts. It does do its job. The 12 colt cord with the cigarette lighter plug is just long enough to inflate rafts when it is plugged into the dash and the raft is positioned so the air inlets are close to the door. I wish it was six feet longer - however, there would be more DC line resistance - tradeoffs... I notice that there is some air leakage around the ends of the inflator - these are the two ends that you could remove the screws and the ends will come off. It works fine however, if some of those leaks could be plugged I am sure it would inflate faster.Pros: It dies its job and inflates fairly quickly.Cons: Nice if the cord could be a little longer (i suppose I can make an extension...) and the air leaks around the end caps (not a big deal but sealing them better might make it even faster.

It works
This is the second Metro pack I have purchased because I couldn't find my old one. The first purchase was 10 years ago and when I rediscovered it, it still works. So I now have two Metros running just fine.

Very low air flow and very low pressure. Useless
I've purchased numerous Metro Vacuum products (DIDA-1, DIDA-2, DIDA-3) and been very happy, but this battery-powered Magic Air product wasn't very impressive. I wasn't expecting anything near the performance of their 110V A/C units, but this unit didn't even perform up to the standard of the $20 plastic battery-powered air mattress inflators sold at sporting goods/camping stores. Very low air flow and very low pressure, just as every other reviewer noted.I returned the unit immediately and was charged a 10% restocking fee.

I would recommend it.
Works well. 'Thought it would be bigger'... But it does the job well.... I would recommend it.

I purchased a Magic Air 120 volt at least 12 years ago and it still works perfect. So I decided to purchase the 12 volt ...
This is actually my second Magic air inflator/deflator. I purchased a Magic Air 120 volt at least 12 years ago and it still works perfect. So I decided to purchase the 12 volt for the times I am on my boat for blowing up the water toys for the grand-kids. Excellent quality and the fastest pump I have ever used.Dave Balcom--Grandville, MI.

good value
Replaced original from cobalt boat. Inflates really quickly and quieter than other air pumps i have. Would like to give it a five but air leaks out the rim where the cap meets the body either a bad gasket or sealent other than that works great.
