Q: What type of material is this?

It is like a vinyl shower curtain. I couldn’t use this. I have a trach and can’t breath through my nose or mouth. While wearing it in shower, as I breath the cover gets sucked in against trach opening and prevents me from getting any air.

Q: Does it completely covered the tie in the back to keep it dry as well?

Water seeps under the cover up and collar gets wet in shower. It ties around like a bib. Also, I have a trach and this is like a vinyl shower curtain. When I breathe in, it blocks the trach so no air can get in. I threw mine out!
