The straw is good quality. I would choose the straight, one piece straws over these for large adult cups though. These are two pieces. There is a small ridge on the inside of the straight piece and a small lip on the outside of the bent piece...this "locks" them together. While they stay together well for an adult, when my one year old wants a drink of my water, she always grabs the straw and pulls it apart. The straight part falls down under my lid and I have to take the lid off and put the straw back together. The other thing that annoys me is there is a slight amount of air that comes in where the two straws connect when you drink. These straws would be great for storage in smaller places and can be made shorter for kids cups.

With the advent of a Vitamix as a Christmas gift, we have become a smoothie family. And as such, we use a lot of straws (seven year olds do this). I hate the thought of all that plastic heading to the landfill, so I looked up reusable straws and found these. I wasn't firmly convinced when I pushed the confirm purchase button that they would be suitable for all our need-a-straw needs. But after using them for a year, I can positively say that they are.They're easy to clean - I was totally worried about that. We usually rinse them immediately, but the one time we didn't, squeezing the silicone a couple times got the residue unstuck from the inside, and it was really easy to rinse out. We put them in the dishwasher like normal from there.They don't leak at the seam. I was afraid of that, too, but I shouldn't have been. You can use the straw with or without the top bend. If you don't use the top bend, you can only use it in a mug, or maybe a 12 ounce glass. With the bend, you've got a few more inches. We drink our smoothies in 16 ounce tall glasses, and they do fine. And they've never leaked.They're bigger in diameter than your average straw, so they work perfectly for smoothies. Or hot chocolate. Or water. And you can mix and match the colors, so you can design your own! (My son likes the green top on the blue and green straw.)These things are great.

The straws are fine, and the design is great but there are two issues I came across:1) They are really really wide. They can only be used for open top vessels. The straws are so wide they cannot even be used with any of my kid's sippy cup tops. Though they are soft and malleable, folding the straw to force it to fit through a smaller opening does not lead to a very good drink experience - almost no liquid makes it through.2) These claim to be silicone, but they retain the smell / flavor of whatever drink they were used for last. I didn't think silicone did this, but these straws do. Even after a dishwashing, and a soak in very warm, soapy water, I could not get the last drink flavor out of these.I wouldn't spend the money on these again. I plan to use the ones I have for water only.

I bought a set of these a while ago and just bought some more to keep in my bag to use when we dine out. So we now have one set at home and one set in the bag. I give it 4.5 starts... it's silicone, so it's soft and pliable. This makes it easy to clean with either a straw brush or I just now put some soapy water in it and massage it to wash it. It's wide so they can drink thick stuff like smoothies and milkshakes. The only drawback to the thickness and pliability is when we use it when dining out in restaurants. Some places like to give us plastic cups and lids for the kids (which I don't necessary agree to or need since it's such a waste of plastic so we use the cups as sand toys afterwards)... and the holes for the lids are too small for the straws. I'll break the holes open a bit more but it's still a bit of a struggle to stick the straws into the holes. What is great about these that sets it apart from all the other silicone straws is that it comes in two pieces. So you don't have to use the top curved piece. I have a 4 and 2 years old and the top piece makes the straw too long for her to drink out of a cup comfortably at the table without spilling the cup (we use glass mason jars at home). The 2 years old will just use the bottom piece and the 4 years old can use both and everyone's comfy and happy. Thank you for making this awesome product!

I've been using these straws for one year. I use them in my Yeti Tumbler. If you use the straws traditionally they don't reach the bottom all the way in the 32 oz ( I believe that's what I have). So, I took one of the mouth pieces off another straw and put it on the bottom of my straw and it's now long enough to reach the bottom. These wash up well and I use my toddler's sippy cup brush to get the inside. I've ran them in the dish washer some and they've done fine. I only use water with them but my husband uses them for home made milk shakes! I've been using the same one daily for a year and you couldn't tell a difference between it and the one's used much less often. Again, I almost always hand wash so none of the color has faded. I suppose used frequently in the dish washer could cause it to fade but I cannot say that the times I put it in the dish washer have faded it at all.

LOVE THESE! I had them in my amazon cart forever, but just couldnt commit. I finally took the plunge and got them, i was tires of buying those garbage plastic straws and adding to the waste. My son is 3 and autistic, he only will drink out of a straw. But they had to be sturdy cuz he will chew them so glass was out, yet flexible because again he chews and i didn't want him chipping a tooth, so stainless steel was out. But i wanted something reusable, dishwasher safe, and can deal with both hot and cold tempatures. These are PERFECT. An added bonus I didn't think about, they are also fat enough around for a thick smoothie! I am so in love I might need to buy more!

These straws are really fabulous. I was sceptical because I've bought reusable straws in the past and they go nasty, mouldy etc and are so hard to wash it's incredible. Not so with these! They come apart when you want them to (not whilst drinking and my two littles have had a good old play with them in the past few days) , are nice and wide so that they can be properly cleaned out, no matter what is being drunk (including smoothies) and therefore wash really well. They're lovely and colourful, just as the picture shows, not so long that they fall out of a even a half pint glass and not too short that makes them impossible to use. In a word, I hate to use, but they are - perfect. I'll definitely be buying some more to have when we have little people parties (and adult cocktail ones as they won't break if they fall and will provide the right amount of alcohol per glug ;) ) I'm really impressed. Great service and communication with the company too. Lots of praise for these from here.

I enjoy juicing as a lifestyle but recently my dentist advised me not to continue as he feared the acids in the juices/vegetables would rot my teeth, so I stopped and went back to 'regular' food but did not feel as healthy or have as much energy. A search online brought me to amazon and these wonderful little straws! They are amazingly good, made specifically for juices and thick shakes so stand up to the job well. No more worries about acid eroding the enamel on my teeth! Happy dentist, happy me! I also ordered the cool lid which keeps my drink safely in my glass, no spillages or drips. I have recommended these straws (and the lid) to several friends and highly recommend them to anyone who enjoys juicing. They are perfect and, because I no longer have to worry about my teeth, I feel that the straws play an active role in helping me maintain good health. I hadn't used GreenPaxx before but my order was processed quickly and arrived within a couple of days. These straws have performed exactly as expected. The bore allows for effective use with water but also with thicker drinks like smoothies. Each straw separates easily into two components for cleaning. Because they are pretty soft, they are easy on teeth and lips, something which the kids commented positively on, and they can be clenched between teeth without being permanently distorted or damaged. If they do not protrude too far above the rim of the bottle neck of the bottle you are using, they can be squished down into the bottle when the cap is closed, but then pop up easily to drink from when released when the cap is opened again - this means you don't always have to remove the straw between drinks. I was happy enough with their performance to buy a second set. Ordering and delivery was problem-free.

I bought these straws as I have quite sensitive teeth and am currenty going through a whitening process. Read dental reviews that it is best to drink fluids that stain your teeth through a straw. Also my dentist recommended that I don't drink any acidic drinks unless through a straw. These are fantastic . Have trialled them at home ....have not been brave enough yet to use them in public! They are a good length and the diameter is very suited to getting a mouthful each time rather than having to such too hard. They wash well and I like the fun colours. TIP - just make sure you don't suck too hot liquids without first checking temperature. And before anyone comments, I have not been stupid enough to run into that little snag!!

These are great for drinking hot black coffee without staining my nice white teeth. Takes a bit of getting used to drinking hot liquids through a straw, you need to let them cool down a bit more than you would normally.Another tip is to raise the straw out of the liquid when you want to stop drinking, otherwise it's hard to avoid ending up with a mouthful that flows back over your teeth before you get a chance to swallow it!

Such a fantastic idea. This is going to save me money, they're good for smoothies and they go in the dishwasher! Couldn't be better than that. I was a bit worried about the texture as two of my children are autistic and very sensitive to textures etc. They love them! Really pleased with this find.

I bought these straws as I've recently got into drinking smoothies, I love the smoothies but in this weather they won't flow through the spout in the lid of my smoothie bottle. These straws are the perfect answer, they're easy to thread through the lid and reach right to the bottom of the bottle so that I can drink my smoothie without having to sit with the bottle upended over my head.Being silicone they are easy to clean, even more so because they come apart into two sections so you can clean each part separately and are not trying to peer down the length of the entire straw to check they are clean.

Great product, very durable, flexible and wash very easily by hand and in the dishwasher. The colours and designed are exactly as pictured and the connections between the straws are hassle free and make a secure connection. I used mine following jaw surgery (Bi max, MMA) where my jaw was banded shut. These straws are wide enough for smoothies and blended foods of all types. I would recommend.

What a brill idea! Bought three packs - different colours - one each for hubbie, son and self. Great for smoothies as well as normal consistency drinks. Washes so easily - pulls apart into two sections. We always got through loads of disposable straws every month. This is going to save us a packet!!

These straws are just fabulous, I cannot promote the enough. You can detach the tops which is great from a cleaning point of view and fun to mix and match for the little one! Delivery was much quicker than I expected and customer service brilliant. These straws are generous is width, brill for smoothies, juice, water, anything you like and easy for my little one to use (been using this with her since she was a baby). These are just what I wanted! wide enough to not get clogged up, and to use for smoothie. The fact you can dismantle them by the curved bit means again, no stuck slushy bits! The silicon is tough enough to cope with the odd nibble from a 5 yr old and they wont hurt thier teeth! Great not to be using disposables, or trying to re-use them.Thanks

Love these straws, use them every day. I've matched them up to my Nalgene bottles. They'll sup up juices and smoothies no problem. Love the satisfying click as you insert the and top angle into the straight bit..

Have been used by a disabled person with involuntary head tremor. Makes it possible for the person to drink without risking injury to mouth and gums. Easy to clean, lasting well (nearly a year of constant use without issues).

Good product. Promptly delivered. Just a shame that there is no cleaning brush included.

I drink a lot of fizzy drinks so to atleast protect my teeth I decided to use these. I bought some reusable metal straws a few months ago but these are just so much better. You start to appreciate how much more comfortably you can drink something when the straw isn't hard and you can bite on it. It is on the thick side compared to other straws which may bother some, but I like it. It is super easy to clean and can't fault it.
