Deep Blue Sea (Fully Packaged Import) (Region Free)

One needs to watch this film not on the basis any preconceived notion (i.e. whether it is superior to "Jaws" or not) but on the basis of its own merits, which are: -1. The Sharks are quite impressive.2. Moments of suspense and horror truly make you sit on the edge of the seat, despite all of them being somewhat predictable.3. Acting is good, with, as usual, scenes featuring Samuel L Jackson simply lighting up the screen with his charisma.4. The concept of an apex predator getting smarter is bound to put a chill down on your spine.Therefore, recommended.

Superb sci fi horror shark movie. Good direction by Renny Harlin. This movie is one of them which few movies are fish movies but despite this these are awesome. Fully satisfied.

Avec le réalisateur de 58 mn pour vivre et Cliffhanger, on ne pouvait que s'attendre à du lourd et, effectivement, on n'est pas déçu question explosions et hécatombe. Seul regret, les requins qui ne paraissent pas tout à fait fini. A mi-chemin entre Jurassic Park (les requins remplacent les raptors), les Dents de la mer et la tour infernale, un film sans prétention et mésestimé qui se regarde sans que l'on voit le temps passer.

Très bon film réalisé par Renny Harlin à qui l'on doit notamment "Freddy 3", "Profession profiler", "Cliffhanger", "Au revoir, à jamais", "l'île aux pirates". Il faut être accroché, mais le film est progressif dans l'action, comme je l'aime. Très bon casting hétéroclite.

J'avais déjà acheté peur bleue, et j'ai racheté le DVD pour remplacer le précédent, abiméLe film pourrait sentir le réchauffé, mais il est tout de même bien conduit. On s'attend forcément à ce qui va se produire... Au départ. Mais très vite, on se retrouve pris au piège comme les protagonistes, et on n'a qu'une envie : nager avec eux pour leur permettre d'échapper à leur sort. Des acteurs qui ne surjouent jamais, des effets bien réalisés, ce n'est pas le film de l'année, mais il est parfaitement bien conduit.

Excellent film de divertissement qui joue la carte de l'action et du suspense. Un bémol pour les images de synthèse ce qui gâche un peu le spectacle.

First off, I love sharks. So I'm pretty picky when it comes to collecting films on these prehistoric beasts. I have two, yes, two shark flicks, both on BD. Everything else is documentary.Deep Blue Sea is one of the movies I own.I'm not going to rehash the plot; plenty of folk have done that already. The acting is decent on all fronts; but the actors we're here to watch don't have any lines of dialogue. There are quite a few 'Whoa!" moments, knocking you back in your seat not because of gore, but just because you didn't expect THAT to happen. But the gore is good too, not over-powering though. There is a lot of situational/ironic comedy (The anti-smoking ad and the chef's special are my favourites). And there are a few cases of 'That would never happen'. But my brain shut off the switch that follows the logic stream and I enjoyed it for what it was: a B-Grade monster flick.The special features are nothing to scream about; what they have here is pretty much just the expected fare - a commentary track, a few deleted scenes, and a behind the scenes featurette. They could have done better. The soundtrack is decent, but again, nothing to prompt a need to own; it has passable 2-channel and 5.1. The digital transfer is awesome though, and for me that more than makes up for the lackluster technical and special features.There are a LOT of bad shark movies, even or especially from the Jaws franchise. But Deep Blue Sea somehow manages to swim above the rest. It's a good addition to a BD collection if you want to watch monster sharks outsmart the human cast.

What a classic "take" on "Jaws" , !!! .Samuel Jackson, Thomas Jane, Saffron Burroughs, and Michael Rappaport, all have great roles, and memorable performances, !!! . (LL Cool J has a funny and memorable, showing, as well, !!!,) .

This is a pretty good movie and truly the way Jaws should have made if they had the technology then they truly could have left out though the CG and just went with that remote control shark it was great especially on Blu-ray

This is an oldie, but goody! The movie is great, if you enjoy jumping up and out of your seat. This one will keep you active while watching it.
