This dongle works okay to hear audio through an iPhone without a headphone jack, but there are 2 big drawbacks: 1) my phone doesn’t always register that the dongle is plugged in and the sound comes out of the iPhone speaker rather than my headphones until I restart my phone or restart the app I was using; 2) the volume and other controls on my headphones that still work with the Apple branded dongle, do not work with this dongle. In the end I saved a couple bucks, but the savings probably isn’t worth the extra hassle that comes with this dongle. I’ve only had this for a day, so I can’t comment on durability, but it will probably last forever, since I’ll always use my Apple branded dongle instead of this one.

I bought this two pack of headphone jack adapters since my Apple one broke out of the blue. Obviously the two pack was cheaper, but I guess you get what you pay for. The setup to even use the adapter requires you to restart your phone several times, and after I went through hoops for setup, the headphone adapter doesn't even work. I keep getting the "this accessory is not supported" message on my phone. And if I am somehow able to get music to play through the headphones, it lasts about 30 seconds before pausing itself and giving me the same error message. This was a waste of time and money.

I got the two-pack due to high reviews on the website, and the instructions on the label were to restart the phone after connecting the dongle. Either way, it didn't make a difference in the continuous static background when using this 3.5mm to lightning port dongle. It's noticeably worse when you start playing music too, and you can kind of fade it out when you play the music loud enough, but that's obviously not a good solution. The real kicker comes in a few minutes later, when it just completely stops working and an error code pops up saying this accessory is not supported. So basically, this product doesn't work. The dongle is stiff and a bit longer than the Apple dongle as well.

I have iPhone 7plus, I was really excited to purchase this cuz I use headset all the time, especially in the plan. I do travel quite a lot, so it was important to me. It works for 1st 5-10min, then the sound is not there anymore. Has issues with connection I think, even though it is plugged in music comes through my phone speaker. When I replug it then it works for another 5-10min, then repeat. I like supporting small businesses , so I do order lots of stuff from unknown names( possibly unknown to me) but product need to hold up. Then again, it could be just that mine was lemon. I think I’m ordering one from apple.

They wouldn't play at all on the iphone X in my wife's car. In my car I could override the "device not supported" message for about 5 minutes then it would stop playing. I got a different kind that works perfectly on both devices in both vehicles.

I ordered these and they don’t work with iPhones. I purchased them in Oct when I bought an iPhone8 and didn’t try them until this week. I plugged my phone into the Aux cable in my car and it played for a few minutes then stopped with a message saying “accessory not compatible with iPhone”. Unfortunately my return window passed so just want to warn others. You get what you pay for....

These connectors are not compatible with iPhones. I tried them on several phones and while listening to music the music stops and an error appears that these are not a supported accessory

The headphone adapter worked for about one minute on both my iPhone 7 Plus and my daughters iPhone 7, then it stopped and evil Apple sent the message “accessory not supported by this iPhone”. Sadly, it had to be returned.
