Labrador Retriever (This is a BOOK!) (Dog Expert)

Great little book.

So I was going to share this book with my young kids (all under age 10) because we are getting a lab. THe book uses the words "bitch" and "bitches" though out. Sorry, but in the USA, we don't call dogs that (despite the technical, scientific term given in history). This book was not made in this country. Here, that word is mainly a bad word. As a sad result, I cannot share this book with my children or even use it as a coffee table book. The book also says that the dogs should not go up and down steps for 6 months. My vet says differently.

Fabulous book for anyone thinking of buying a labrador as a puppy. It is small book, therefore easy to handle and carry about (as I do) and the language is clear and concise, telling just enough information. I have read other labrador books that are well promoted, but this is my favourite. If you get one book before you buy your puppy, I would strongly recommend this one.

Small in size but lots of information and some beautiful photos, unlike many breed books, showing what a good Labrador should look like.
