Best AERO Bars for the Multiple Hand Positions
I have a Cervelo TT bike with conventional straight out bars and these Profile Aero Bars allow for multiple hand positions which is great on a long ride, especially when you're in the wind. I also have mounted a headlight on the ultimate top of the bars which is convenient, out of the way, and a good thing to help light my road and be seen by Mr. John Q. Distracted behind the Wheel. The rest, where you place your forearm, moves up to allow you that normal standard position on your regular handlebars which is something other bars of this type were the rests are solidly positioned does not give you. After a few seasons, the springs on the rests seem to need replacing but regular maintenance has helped prolong their life. Solid bars and priced to SLICE THE AIR QUICKLY.....

Great comfort bars
I installed these aero bars on my gravel bike that I used to race an Ironman. They are really comfortable and easy to install and adjust. I love that the pads spring up out of the way if you’re not resting on them. They are a bit noisy on bumpy roads but after a few miles I don’t notice it any more. Definitely check out your cable and brake lines and any taper in your handlebars to make sure this will work. I had to move a brake line over a bit to mount this and there’s no way these same bars would mount to my husband’s Trek because of the taper on his handlebar. Just something to think about.

Glad I bought it!
I first purchased a different model of Profile aerobars before I bought this set. I returned the first set because a screw didn't fit in the hole and wouldn't hold the bars tight to the handlebar. I was hesitant to buy Profile again because I read several reviews about the same screw problem. However, this set was very easy to install and after a test run, seem to work well. I like the adjustable flip-up arm pads. The only small issue was that one washer was missing.

I Might Get One of These for Myself Soon!
I got these for my son-in-law because he is beginning to do triathlons, and I had the opportunity to ride with him this past weekend in a 68-mile bike ride around our bay in Corpus Christi, Texas. I watched him with these aero bars, and listened to him talk about them along the way. He said he absolutely loves them, and can feel the difference, night and day. I asked him to explain, and he said they take the weight totally off everything from the waist up. He didn't have any lower back pain, any shoulder-blade pain, no hand pain. And he felt totally aerodynamic, making it much easier for him to cut through the wind especially when we were riding against it! The only thing he noted was that he should have wrapped where he put his hands, because when his hands got sweaty, his grip slipped somewhat. But that's a minor thing. The padding where his arms lay, was wonderfully thick. It seems to me that this is a great value for the price, and they were easy to put on, since he did it himself. I just might get me some of these, even if I don't do triathlons.

Good product
These bars are easy to attach/detach and light weight. I have had them for 2 years now, used them for many miles, used them in triathlon competitions, and have no complaints. They do rattle around a little bit on rough roads when your arms are not on the pads, but that is a minor irritant. Good product if you don't have a TT bike.

New Life for an Old Bike!
Beautiful! I recently resurrected my old road bike I used to ride a lot back in the 80s. I had one of the first evolutions of Aero Bars. The Scott DH Aero Bars. I loved the concept, but the forearm rests were nothing more than foam rubber pads around the handlebars on either side of the head tube crown. Although I liked the position with my hands out on the end of the tubes, the forearm rests were very uncomfortable. This beautiful clip-on addition completely solved that problem! I kept my old Scott DH Aero Bars and just added these things. It looks a little busy now but I find it adds a couple of new places for me to put my hands! The forearm rests are very comfortable. Much better than the old Scott foam rubber pads! No regrets here!

Purchased this product with the purpose of using for my training ride this weekend. When I opened the box I could hear bolts rattling around. Needless to say some of the bolts/screws were missing and I'm not able to use the product.

Nice Design - poor product management.
Product shipped missing one key screw that holds the arm rest to the flip-up bracket. Amazon offered to ship me another unit, but then I'd had to remove one screw and ship the rest back - too much bother. Tried to contact mfr, not much luck so far.Everything everyone said about the cheap nature of how the arm rest brackets are held in place is true, and they rattle more effecively than most baby toys. I think I found a fix, though: I wrapped both sides of the arm rest brackets with wax covered string. Worked great on my one ride so far. Wax string can be bought at hobby shops - regular string would probably work also if rubbed with some candle wax. Apparently none of Profile Design's whiz bang engineer/designers have thought of including 3 cents worth of waxed string into their over-priced product. I also agree with another reviewer that there should be a secondary method to hold the pads to the arm rests. While the Velcro on the back of the pads is pretty sticky, I don't know if I can trust the pads to stay in place during transport on my bike rack in back of the vehicle. All that said, I think its going to make riding much more comfortable, and I like the fact that the arm rests get out of the way of the handle bars so I can use that position.Heard from the Mfr's sales dept after leaving a message on their customer service number. He indicated he'd be shipping me a few screws. Hope so. We'll see.
