Great investment!
The best investment you can make on a pair of boots! If prepped right, the toes of your boots will outlast the sole. I'm sending my old boots off for a 3rd set of soles and only now have I had to touch up the original tuff toe with the extra from my new boots.

Doubles or triples the life of my boots
I've used this product on at least five pairs of work boots and the rest of the boot always wears out before the tuff toe does.I do commercial flooring, so I spend a lot of time on my knees and dragging my toes. This stuff holds up remarkably well. I generally wear a new pair of boots until the toes start wearing through just a little before I put the tuff toe on, but that doesn't take long. The application isn't the most user friendly. Getting the applicator gun helps a lot, but it's still a little tricky, especially if you're trying to get a nice, smooth, shiny finish. If you mask off the area of your boots with painters tape and make slow passes with the liquid it will blend together but gravity will still want to pull it down and it may pool towards the bottom of you go too fast or too thick. Going slowly and being patient so that you don't have to spread it together with the applicator stick is the only way to get it smooth and shiny. But not too slowly otherwise it will start to set and not blend. It's a fickle goo. I don't particularly care what it looks like on my work boots, so I just get it on there and make sure it covers. It dries quickly so, if I have any left over after the initial coat, I will add a little extra to the very front of the toe since that's the highest wear area for me. Also, don't forget to remove the masking tape before it dries. I think the directions say after five minutes, but I don't think you even want to wait that long. As soon as it's not moving and spreading on it's own, pull the tape, otherwise it's going to get trapped. It's a little expensive for what it is but I haven't found a better option and if it prolongs the life of my boots for 6 months or so, which it definitely does, then it's absolutely worth it. And again, the applicator gun makes it a whole lot easier to work with, so if you plan on doing this more than once, I think it's worth getting that accessory too.

Work fast
It's works well, but DO NOT USE THE SWIRLY APPLICATION TIP if you plan on spreading on. You will have about 2 minutes of working time unless you mix it manually in a tray.

Excellent Product
I have used this product before and I own the applicator and highly recommend spending the extra money to purchase one. It is much easier to use and the product looks .much better. This product is extremely tough and will protect your boots for a long time.

Extends the life of ur boots!
The media could not be loaded. I’ve used multiple times on multiple boots and it really helps keep the toe from becoming damaged. I’m a Union Bricklayer/Tuckpointer and am constantly grinding my boots on all sorts of hard rough surfaces and this keeps my boots from getting holes. I recommend if ur in any industry that requires constant hitting, rubbing, bending and more! We gotta take care of our boots to take care of our feet to take care of ourselves!!

Easy to apply. As advertised
I'm happy with tuff toe but they sent me the wrong color, however the company made it right and sent the black version. Thank you!

TRASH PRODUCT. Lasted me 1 hour.
I followed all the installation instructions, sanded my boots THOROUGHLY and let them cure for 36 hours. I get to work on Monday, and ONE HOUR into the job and there’s a spot on my right toe where I must have kicked something: the hardened skin of the tuff toe material peeled off and it’s all gummy underneath (and marking up surfaces as I’m kneeling. Good thing I’m rough framing right now and not around finished flooring). Tuesday, that gummy patch is now just a hole in the tuff toe material that’s now exposing the boot toe, and the left boot now has a 2” crack along the top. Wish I had never put this stuff on my boots. I want my money back and also money for new boots which are now covered in this trash.I seem to be in the minority here as there are lots of positive reviews (which is why I purchased this), but you’re taking a risk putting this stuff on your probably $150-300 boots only for it to peel off and not work and look terrible. If you do end up buying this, definitely get the applicator glue gun thing that you have to buy separately. I didn’t buy it and the applicator system included with it is awful— it’s so hard to squeeze out at the start of the tube I had to use both hands to squeeze while balancing the boot. I don’t understand why they don’t just include a better applicator with the kit and charge another $10 total or something like that instead of taking the spirit airline route. Bad design. Bad product. Maybe you’ll get lucky and it’ll work for you.
