On balance good value for money
I had bought Sensitive Skincare filters for a few months and while they worked well, they only lasted 2-3 months and cost 4 times as much as the Firefly cartridges.I live in an area with fairly hard water, so filters never last the advertised maximum of 6 months. I find these Firefly filters are good for 2-3 months and as a bonus give the water a light citrus scent. You do have to be careful which way round you fit them. One end has plastic holes / perforations...this should go to the hose side. The other is a fine mesh...this should go to the shower head. I initially made the mistake of fitting it the other way round and found it disrupted the water flow.Anyway, although I quite like these filters, I'm knocking a star off, as like many cartridges of this type, they have to be fitted in a large, bulky housing, that is too wide to connect directly to the shower unit. Instead it has to go between the hose & shower head, which makes it awkward to fit the shower head on the holder.The advantage of the Sensitive Skincare filters is that they are narrow enough to screw directly onto my shower unit. But hey - I'm saving 75% on what I was paying for them, so its a good trade-off.

it actually works on water
our old filter was depleted, tested water before fitting new one, TDS 376, pH 8.5, kh19 gh 25. After new filter fitted and flushing exercise test are as follows: TDS 300, pH 7.9, kh 13 gh 20. Also the smell of water has changed, we can't smell chlorine/chloride smell any more. Not sure how long this will last, previous filter lasted about 2 months. So hoping this would last similar time.

Filters not in layers. Mostly consists with activated carbon.
Other than the PP Cotton and Stainless Steel mosh, the rest of the materials are mixed in the cartridge and Not in layers. So the picture can be measliding.For these filters to be as efficient as they claim, the materials need to be in layers. Activated carbon takes around 90% of the content with some ceramic balls are spread all over.

There's certainly a difference in the quality of the water in my shower
The water has a quality of softness about it and this is the second filter I have fitted so I have had it a year. Very easy to change, just unscrew the unit , take out the old and replace.

not work
Been using this filter for almost three months now. Water is definitely harder than another filter (another brand) I used before. My skin is very dry despite installing this filter. Won't recommend

Can tell difference after first shower
Good product easy to install. Give it a run through for 5mins to allow water to run clean. Can tell the difference after first shower. Gentler on skin and hair.
