Awesome citrus squeezer!
This tool is actually fun to use because it really gets the juice out of the citrus! It also doesn't seem like it will break like all the other plastic ones do.

Not perfect, but the best beehive on the market.
I'm pretty sure I've tried all of the beehive-style juicers on Amazon (and otherwise) at this point. This is my current favorite for several reasons: They're made of stainless steel. They're easy to clean. They don't have hollow cavities to trap liquid. There's minimal clearance between the pieces (maximizes efficacy). They're inexpensive. There's a hook for easy hanging. Dishwasher safe. A quick pass with an abrasive sponge to knock off the oils from the peel and they come out shiny and new-looking in the dishwasher. The only downside is that the steel is not exceptionally thick; these do flex substantially when juicing; mine have held up well without bending or breaking, but I have some nervousness about long-term durability. I'll update in the long run (give me a few more years with them) if they remain problem free, but they just have a sensation of being flimsy. A model with the steel up another mm of thickness would probably make this go away. The other stainless juicers out there are either incredibly flimsy or trap liquids in their handles and are no good; I do not recommend any of them. The composite juicers are a joke. The ratcheted models are good at juicing but difficult to clean, bulky, slower in practice, and more difficult to operate with a single hand. They're also expensive and complicated, and the ratchet mechanisms aren't reliable. The aluminum juicers have a variety of species and associated problems. The enameled models chip, discolor, and are not reliably dishwasher-safe in the long run. The burnished models are definitely not dishwasher safe. Inexpensive models tend to shatter at the hinge. Unfinished models react with the acid in the citrus. Burnished or unfinished models that lack a finish are difficult to clean because the skin oils getting stuck in the rough surfaces. If I find a better beehive juicer, I'll buy it and review it an let y'all know, but this is the one to get at the moment.

OK product -- I agree with "not the best, not the worst" - it's a pretty good design, but there are areas for improvement
I agree with Queen B.'s assessment that this is "not the best, not the worst". This product is pretty well built. It is pretty strong, has a good fit and finish, works pretty well, and is an affordable price for the all-steel construction. It works best with smaller lemons and limes, but can do larger citrus if you work it in stages or cut it prior to juicing to a smaller size. However, the unit doesn't always do a great job getting juice to come out the end you want and sometimes it can spray the juice everywhere except the intended target (slicing the lemon in half, and then slicing off each of the other sides not cut, and then stabbing through the fruit greatly helps this), and it can sometimes pool in the handle if you are not holding it on a downward angle (which becomes a big mess really quickly). Also, the Ecojeannie requires a significant amount of force to work, and more so than other units I have used. If you are doing a lot of lemons, your hand will quickly tire (at least mine does). And in most cases, you need to flip the lemon and squeeze a second time to extract a large quantity of juice that you otherwise will not get from the Ecojeannie if you only squeeze on one side. Finally, I find the handles to be slippery, especially with the amount of force that is needed for the Ecojeannie to work best. I sometimes slip when squeezing super hard and the juicer almost goes flying and juice goes everywhere. More ergonomic handles or some texture for traction would make it much easier to use.I cannot say that I recommend, nor can I say I don't recommend this product. It's reasonably good quality, it works reasonably well, and it's reasonably priced. At the same time, I have used other products that juice much better, and require much less force. So in closing I would say this may be the product for you, but it may also be worth trying something else out.If I could do it over again, I would probably buy the Chef'N Fresh instead of this Ecojeannie.

Does what it is supposed to do.
I now have 3 of these kinds of squeezers in a drawer. We use them mostly for our mixology experiments, but also for making lemon/herb water. The best one was the cheapest, but after patching the hinge part multiple times, I got tired of looking at the old squeezer with its chipped paint and rusty hinges. The other expensive one did not squeeze out much juice. This new EcoJeannie works and looks good , but costs a lot more. I wouldn't worry about the handles as they bend a little, but that doesn't affect the operation. For those who haven't owned one of these hand press squeezers, you sacrifice some juice for convenience and maybe flavor. The traditional juicer gets more liquid out of the lemon, lime or small orange, however, it's a hassle to use and clean. I'm also convinced that more juice is NOT necessarily better as with limes and lemons, the free run juice from the EcoJeannie tastes a little better than the fully exploited juice from the traditional juicer.I'm giving this 4 stars because it is fairly expensive and I'm not completely sure how long the hinges are going to last as they appear somewhat delicate.

Perfect for larger Lemon's and Limes
This thing is build to last. The larger bowl is perfect for those larger lemons and Limes. Works great.

Had to have 2
We have had this squeezer for several years in our house and it is tough! I had broken a couple of the other cheap cast aluminum ones until my son told me to get one of these. He was right on his suggestion. Recently I broke my cheap squeezer in my RV. No use looking elsewhere - the one to buy was obvious. I bought another one of these EcoJeannie's for my RV. This is one of the kitchen appliances that will last for generations!

Good
Love it, so easy to squeeze my citrus juice. Sturdy product and easy to clean.

Durable and works as I expected
So far the juicer works exactly as described. Seems sturdily built, and I anticipate it will last longer than my cast green/yellow lime/lemon juicer. Will comment on durability in the fullness of time, but for now, seems durable, presses juice out of citrus fruit exactly as I was expecting, and quality seems above average. Thank you.

The Perfect Tool for Tiki Cocktails
I love me a Mai Tai or Scorpion or Cobra's fang - classic tiki drinks that require a combination of FRESH fruit juices in order to become the magical concoctions they are supposed to be. These usually require no more than an ounce or two of a couple of different fruit juices, and this tool is the perfect way to extract those juices. (If you want to make larger quantities of juice ahead of time, instead of small quantities to order, there are probably better tools around, though this still isn't bad.)Sturdily constructed, this item performs as advertised - except that I never really get the sense, as I look at the used citrus half - turned almost inside out by the press - that the fruit's juice was 100% extracted. I can't seem to get any more out, but since the flesh is not destroyed - as it is in a regular citrus juicer - it looks like there should be a few more drops left. However, leaving the fruit's pulp intact has the advantage of allowing you to juice one fruit after the other, which makes it ideal for making cocktails. Also, it is configured to allow the juice to escape straight into a shot glass (for measuring) without a mess. (This also allows you to leave juice you won't need until later inside the fruit instead of having to find a container for it.) And, it cleans up quickly with a rinse of water, or a wipe of a damp cloth. It will work with any fruit that fits in the bowl - always, perhaps counterintuitively, cut side down toward the holes - which means yes to small oranges and no to large lemons. I wonder what would happen if I cut larger fruits into say quarters or sixths - would I then be able to do small grapefruits? Would pineapple work? I may try this and if I do, I will report back. But, in any event, even though this item is shown as "Jumbo" size, I can't see the sense of getting a smaller one.

and is nice and shiny and easy to clean
Works really well, and is nice and shiny and easy to clean. I'm a petite woman and find it too big for my hands - the handles become too far apart for me to squeeze them together very well. But I couldn't fault them with a star for this.. I manage. :)
