We used this product to repay our broken sprinkler. My husband was able to install it and now the sprinkler is working great. We received the product in two days which was fast. Now we are thankful to have our sprinkler system working again without having to pay out so much money.

I am doing a new installation for water sprinkler system and installing the backflow valve in garage as I have to route water lines to opposite sides of property and not able to run water line under driveway. I had ordered a similar valve from another company, but discovered that the valves would have been backwards and against the wall for my desired installation, so I cancelled that order and got this Febco valve because I could rotate the valves to the opposite side and not have to reroute the existing plumbing. If you do this, just be sure to clean off all old teflon tape and install new tape. The only thing I don’t like about this type of valve is that water will escape from the bell-top when water pressure is supplied to the inlet as the poppet seats. That is NORMAL for this type of valve, so for those reviewers complaining about water leaking from the bell-top, please understand that this is how the valve is supposed to work, but once the poppet is seated, the water coming out of the valve should stop. If it doesn’t, then there is probably dirt, grit or debris from soldering under the poppet valve, so take it apart and clean it. Don’t complain that the valve is crap. It is probably because you don’t know what you are doing and should have had a plumber do your installation instead of whining and giving this a one star.If you do plan to install this inside, like in your garage as I have done, make sure it is in a waterproof area with drainage nearby, and that it is at least 12 inches above the highest sprinkle valve in your system.

I was impressed with this product when I opened the box. It matches the broken version on my sprinkler system exactly except that this new one looks to be of a better quality than the one I was replacing. After reading the reviews I thought I could replace it myself like so many others did, but unfortunately no-can-do. Plumbers cost a fortune, so I’m returning this quality product and will be using an oscillating sprinkler to water my yard from now on.

I ordered the item on Wednesday evening and it arrived on Thursday before 1000. It was an exact replacement for the existing (broken) PVB and was extremely easy to install. No hesitation buying from this vendor again.

My old backflow valve had been leaking like a sieve. First ordered this from Home Depot. After about a month, I still did not get the valve. So I ordered on Amazon for about $20 less and had it in two days. I installed it and it works great. No more leaking.
