Perfect for my Mom, don't use them often
We use them at night so my Mom doesn't pull her oxygen off, her Doctor approved of their use because of the seriousness if her oxygen tubing comes off.

Don't expect to be able to close hands.
When wearing these mitts, the person will not be able to close their hands and if they try, their knuckles will be forced again a hard plastic piece in the mitts.

Pros and cons
Not really padded as much as I needed them to be. It is good to prevent scratching or picking. It is not recommended for special needs who causes self injury such as slapping or hitting to themselves. The cardboard or plastic is too hard and will certainly injure the patients.

Not worth it
These gloves are not worth it. They get dirty fast, don't stay on and look like ping pong bats.

Poor quality product.
These are very poor quality. They didn't last a week . Very thin. Cardboard like with netting.

COMES OFF TOO EASILY
The velcro at the wrist strap yields with pressure from trying to remove them. Not sturdy enough for a male dementia patient.

Safety
I use them for my elderly mom. They help by keeping her from putting things in her mouth.

Repurposed by removing splint; and sewing around older pair of posey mits
I wanted soft padding these are very hard. I ended up repurposing by taking out the splint then sewing these around old posey mits so actually very good.
