Celestron 21008 Powerseeker 40AZ Refractor Telescope

Cute but very flawed design;there is a aperture-reducing "stop" right behind the objective lens that makes the scope effectively smaller in order to hide the false color inherent in the cheap single piece lens. This is not the only telescope with this poor design sold to unsuspecting parents. Don't buy this.Buy a telescope that states it has a "doublet" lens OR states that it is "achromatic"(Even better are "apochromatic" but those are very costly and meant for advanced users.) A much better beginner telescope is the Celestron 50AZ because of the better lens which means truer colors and a brighter image.

Could not see a thing during night or day!! Returned.

0 reviews really. It's absolutely terrible. I got this for my little cousin so we could enjoy the solar system a bit more but this telescope is just plain awful.

prodotto appena arrivato e quindi non ancora testato, imballaggio discreto l'articolo è arrivato integro, ma in uno scatolone enorme e spropositato.nella descrizione dell'articolo c'è scritto che nella confezione vi è una borsa per la custodia ed il trasporto. Dov'è? Gradirei una spiegazione.

My Grandson had wanted a telescope for his birthday and asked for more than 6 months. This has proved to be just the ticket. It was easy to assemble light weight and quite solid in a strange way. It fits the need unfortunately the night skies around the UK don't. My grandson is delighted with it so great gift.

As much as she liked the telescope itself, the CD is not compatible with her PC and she cannot see through the windows with it.
