Swell Tool
Well made. Reasonably priced and comfortable to hold. I wish I could have known about this tool a few years back.

Better than expected for the price
This works better than one could expect for the price. Mine was slow to arrive from England. But when it did, using it has improved my drawings from life dramatically. Others in the drawing group I attend are beginning to ask how to use it and where to get one themselves. Recognize that you get what you pay for. Certainly, this tool could be better made. Mine is not warped but the pivot hardware tends to loosen during use, needing constant tightening. A rubber washer in the mechanism might help. The fat, wooden points are ineffective for small gaps. As others have said, the pivot is also awkward to move. But a bigger set of dividers I earlier made myself for landscapes, with wingnut and bolt, was even more awkward. So this is an improvement. I'm sure a finely made, metal version would work even better but the ones I looked at cost hundreds of dollars. This cost about ten bucks. That's hard to beat for a functional tool.

Perfect
It's the perfect addition to my art supplies.

A bit bulky
This tool is OK but is a bit chunky. Also, the tips don't like up very well and it's not the easiest to change sizes. I've used metal dividers and like it a lot better. Granted, the metal dividers cost a lot more. So these will do in a pinch.

Tips don't line up. Not very accurate at measuring end tips don't align
General measure only. Not good if accuracy needed

Having never used a proportional divider before, I must say, it is very easy to use and very accurate in enlarging and reducing sizes for my sketches and art work. I am extremely happy with this purchase! It certainly makes my job much easier!

Excellent dividers.
Had I read even some of the negative reviews given to these scale dividers I'd almost certainly never have ordered them ------ however, , I didn't read the reviews and very glad I didn't do so. These are excellent dividers, well made and very accurate, in fact of circumstances demanded, If have no hesitation in buying again.
