You need this CDs for study with the book. I first bought the book because I was attending classes that wanted it and I didn't know about the CDs. I think that there are better options for prepare yourself for the TOEFL exam. This one is kind of expensive. Overall I wouldn't reccomended but I giving 3 stars because they give you some useful tips.They could give you a better price for book+cds, they are making money ( I know thats the goal but..anyways) selling the book with a cd Plus Other CDs that you need for really complete all the material. Then you need to be well self motivated because it is boring for doing by your own. The cd that come with the book is only some exercises.

A very good preparation course for the TOEFL iBT
The "Longman Preparation Course for the TOEFL iBT 2nd edition" is a very useful book for the teacher preparing students for the TOEFL exam. It takes students gradually from the early stages of their TOEFL preparation and helps them make fast progress by offering simple, practical advice that is easy to follow. It also offers a wealth of practice material for each skill as well as review exercises that help students consolidate what they 've learnt. The CD ROM offers practice which is different from that in the book and the audio CDs are an integral part of the course. In short, I recommend the book both to students and to teachers as I have enjoyed using it in the classroom and the feedback I get from my students is very positive.

Great audio CDs
I bought this for a friend, she was really happy with the contents of the course, comes well packaged, it comes with a separate folder which holds the cds, and its all wrapped in thermo plastic. Highly recommended as preparation for the Listening part of the Toefl test.

Just make sure that you want it, because when you buy it its gonna cost you more then book itself to return it.

Great guide
Is a great book to get ready for the exam. A lot of simulations, so if you really do the work as they said you will have the score that you want.

i was so happy when I saw this. The price was super cheap $26 for a new one compare with $50. Really, really, really, really good!!!!!!!!

il testo era definito in "buone condizioni".Purtroppo non è assolutamente così. Tutte le risposte agli esercizi sono segnate. Questo libro serve a prepararsi a un esame, cosa me ne faccio se le risposte sono già segnate? 15 euro buttati via

Gute Erklärungen zu den Skills, aber benötigt den Kauf einer zusätzlichen Cd
Das Buch ist wirklich gut, da es zu den einzelnen Skills, die man für lesen, hören, schreiben und sprechen benötigt, sehr gut erklärt. Auch ist es Super, dass am Ende des Buchfes Answer Keys sind, sodass man sich selber überprüfen kann, wobei ich es allerdings schwierig finde, sich selber bei schreiben und sprechen zu überprüfen.Nicht klar war mir aber, dass man für die Übungen zu hören, schreiben und sprechen noch eine extra Audio-CD benötigt, damit man sich die Listening-Parts anhören kann! Ich dachte, das wäre alles auf der beigefügten CD-Rom vorhanden, bis mir dann aber auffiel, dass das wohl nicht der Fall ist. Ich wurde nirgends darauf aufmerksam gemacht und das finde ich eine Unverschämtheit, denn meiner Meinung nach ist das reine Abzocke!!! Nach stundenlangem googlen, hab ich dann eine Seite gefunden, die erklärt hat, dass man eine zusätzliche Audio-Cd benötigt. Als ich die dann bei Amazon gesucht habe, bin ich fast vom Glauben abgefallen!!! Die wollten allen Ernstes 54€ haben. Da zahlt man für dieses Buch schon 30€ und soll dann nochmal fast doppelt so viel für die Audio Cd zahlen? Das ist einfach eine Dreistigkeit, die meiner Meinung nach gar nicht geht!!!! So gut das Buch auch ist, das Geld ist es nicht Wert und ich würde ein anderes Buch kaufen, wo nicht verschwiegen wird, dass man nochmal doppelt so viele Kosten haben wird!!

Arrivato puntuale! Un buon acquisto. Lo consiglio a chi vuole prepararsi per certificazione esame inglese. Ho consigliato il testo ad altri amici.
