This is an absolute must-have for any dog recovering from a spaying/neutering.
This suit is awesome. My Havanese was in a severe depression wearing the cone of shame as she couldn't eat out her bowl, play with toys or sleep comfortably. After doing a bit of research and even trying one of those "soft" cones (which was exactly the same as the plastic cone in terms of my dog absolutely hating it), I came across these suits and am so thankful I did. It fits like a glove, it's easy to unsnap so that my dog can go to the bathroom, and there is absolutely no way my dog can lick the incision from her spaying while wearing this (see picture). Do not waste your money on the softer cones, inflatable collars, etc. Buy this first and both you and your dog will be thankful you did. It is truly a sanity saver.

Gives my GSD pup Comfortable Cone-Free Time, During Surgery Recovery.
I bought a large Suitical for my 10 month-old German Shepherd pup who weighs 50 pounds. The suitical is made out of a cool, stretchy and soft, 94% cotton & 6% lycra fabric, that feels like soft jersey. It slips over the dog's head and pulls on like an old-school snap crotch leotard with snaps on the bottom that go around the dogs tail, and it has a turtleneck that I fold down. The size Large fits my pup with some room to spare in the tummy, but it's not overly large, so she can wear it now at 10 months, 50 pounds, and I imagine that she'll still be able to wear it comfortably at 12 months and 55-65 pounds, if the need arises. My pup had an ovary-sparing spay, so during the car ride home while she was enclosed in her Gunner kennel G1 Large , she wore the " The Comfy Cone Pet Recovery Collar by All Four Paws, Large, Black " that her vet provided, which she also wears at night and whenever she's crated and alone at home, but during the day, when I can supervise her, she wears her suitical, and has been comfortable enough wearing it that she hasn't tried to remove it. In fact, I think she's happy to have it on now, because she knows it means cone-free time, lol. I haven't washed it yet, but it appears to be good quality and it looks like it will hold up well, especially if it's washed on a cold, gentle/hand-wash cycle, and is either hung up or I lay it flat to dry. Also, the rear end quickly unsnaps for potty breaks, so I unsnap it, fold it up, and snap it up around my pups waist, like a belt, although there is an extra snap on the chest and a tie underneath to roll and secure it higher, which is more helpful for male pups. It's also able to hold pads in case a dog is in heat. Overall, it's very useful post-surgery, and highly recommended, and I would buy it again in an instant! My pup Carly gives it two paws up!

I purchased this in size Small for my 18 pound ...
I purchased this in size Small for my 18 pound mini Aussie who is going to be neutered soon and it fits him perfectly, not too small and not too big. He measured 18.5 inches from collar to tail base.Update 10/25/17: So my dog was neutered yesterday and the vet tech put the Suitical on him before I took him home...she was impressed and said to let the clinic know if it works as it might be a good option for dogs who can’t tolerate a cone....well, I’m happy to report that after 24 hours he has not bothered the surgical area at all. I wondered if he would try to lick through the suit but he hasn’t tried at all...slept comfortably through the night and it’s easy to unsnap for potty breaks. I am very happy about the Suitical and definitely recommend it as an alternative to the cone.

Kept sutures clean! No Cone of Shame! Not cheap material!
I have never ordered a surgical suit before after surgeries and I definitely will always use them from now on. It kept him from getting over his huge abdominal surgery with neuter, and because of his thick stretchy material, it seems to cause something like a thunder shirt. It calmed him down and made him feel a lot better while he’s wearing it. The suit itself is made out of a different material that I am not familiar with but it is thick and stretchy. It is not cheap. I like that you just put it over his head and his arms and then the back and you buckle up with some snaps on flaps on each side of the tail. It’s made so that a girl could use the bathroom with it on but not a boy. He can also poop with it on. There are four durable snaps on each side of the flaps that go around the tail to close it up. Day 12 of his surgery and he is still wearing his and enjoying it. I ordered according to the weight chart and he weighs 130 pounds and so he fits an XXL. He is a smaller great Dane. I read through the comments about the other surgical suits and this one seem to have the best rating. Definitely definitely worth the money! Much much better than the cone of shame! LOL

Great E-Collar Alternative - Be Careful With The Sizing
I purchased this suit in the hopes of using it to prevent my dog from licking and old surgery site after having the PU surgery. Unfortunately, it was a bit of a troubling time to get a suit that fit him. The sizing chart is misleading and so I had to return two suits before finding one that fit him. The sizing chart that comes on the packaging has breed descriptions on it, which would have been very helpful in choosing which suit to get in the first place. I am not sure why the Amazon chart only has the measurements.Once I got the third suit, I noticed the packaging was in very bad shape, so I'm assuming it was a previously returned product. The suit inside was fine, other than being wrinkled from being crammed in the bag, but I am surprised it wasn't repackaged.Once the third suit came and fit, I was very pleased with the quality. Still am. It functions how it should and keeps my dog from licking his old incision. He was previously having to wear an e-collar every time he was unsupervised, which left him with hair loss around his neck and everything. I'm very glad that, despite the sizing mishaps, the suit works well.My pug wound up fitting a XS.

A must have for a recovering dog
As you can see on photos our recently rehomed CKCS Trevor is modelling his recovery suit and another collar which i will cross reference with this review. He has been neutered and absolutely hated his lampshade. His crying prompted me to purchase a recovery suit and collar to try.The sizing guide is detailed and must be checked prior to order. Trev was inbetween a x-small and small. Obviously you don't want it loose so he can get to the wound, however you don't want it skin tight which could irritate. We went for small, Trev is around 10kg and 43cm from collar to tail. It is slightly loose around his legs, hence using with his collar. However a godsend and a massive improvement on the lampshade.Very easy to put on and has a bit at the back which you lift when your dog needs the toilet. Even this minor issue is nothing compared to his upset caused by the lampshade.Trev is also happy to answer any questions regarding the suit or collar to help other doggies suffering with a lampshade xx collar - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Emwel-Inflatable-Collar-Revecovery-Collars/dp/B0776TG723/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=dog+recovery+collar&qid=1599132264&sr=8-5

Perfect alternative to the cone
Perfect for our mini schnauzer. Got small and fits well. She’s 8kg and measure 43cm from neck to tail just to help others with sizing. This was a great suggestion from a the vets in place of the ‘cone of shame’ as she’s unable to lick the wound following her recent spay. It buttons at the back and no problems with her trying to undo it. Easy enough to unbutton and roll up for toileting. Highly recommend

The Recovery Suit is lightweight, soft, comfortable and easy to wash.
This was the only thing that prevented our very flexible cockerpoo from reaching his wounds. Collars didn’t work as he has a long body and superb bendability. He didn’t mind wearing it and it’s easy to roll up and secure when we took him out for toilet breaks.I would definitely Highly recommend this suit for post operative wear.

Omg, omg!
This has saved my life. My husky has been bitch spayed and due to the horrible plastic collar she has howled and cried for 2 days and nights solid. As soon as I put this on her she calmed down immediately and is so much calmer! Fantastic product. Lifesaver, whoever invited this suit deserves a million pound and like a 100 cupcakes or something. After shedding a few tears of relief I'm now off for a much needed sleep.

A great product!!
I was recommended this by my vet for my poorly dog who have a huge growth on her side which kept constantly bleeding. We had to stop her licking it and this great little suit did the job whilst being fitting enough to hold a pad in place over the wound. I had the Medium which fitted my 15 year old Sprocker perfectly. Sadly we only got to use it on her for 3 weeks before she eventually passed away but it made those last 3 weeks much more comfortable for her. They are quite expensive but I am glad we purchased it and would highly recommend.
