Sonic Mad Son Loves It
My 9 year old has been a Sonic fan for years and he absolutely loves these little books.Haven't read them myself but they must be good as he has asked to buy more with some of the money he has saved hard in his piggy.Fantastic for getting any Sonic mad children to read independently.

Best deal for these stories. 10 stories, 6 good ones.
The item's in good condition so the book itself would be 5 stars. I liked Issue 9's Stories 1 and 3, Issue 10 Story 2, Issue 11 Story 1, Issue 12 Stories 2 and 3. There's 10 stories, there's 6 good stories. For Issue 9, all of the stories were good, aside from making me really annoyed with Sally, for rejecting what’s very clearly NOT a robot in disguise who very clearly doesn’t have a tracking device put on it. Maybe she thought the tracking device was INSIDE the turkey, but she should’ve said that, then! The stories were creative though. For Issue 10, although the Nerbs were unlikable, they weren’t enough to ruin the first ever experience of this story for me. I at least didn’t mind Sonic and his friends travelling underground and dealing with a giant robot and stuff. And the concept of an underground society is interesting. My only major complaint, is that the Nerbs weren’t all given karmatic punishment in the end. It would’ve been a great villain moment for Eggman at least! But I like being shown a NEW, Nerb society because it’s at least fleshing out the world, making it feel like there’s more to this world than JUST, the Freedom Fighters and, Robotropolis. But any complaints I have about the Nerbs are made up for by Antoine getting to be cool for once in the second story! And Tails showing that he actually cares about him helps too. Only real big problem I have with it is how arbitrary the whole “ Freedom Fighter Fact Finder “ machine is. We didn’t need this stupid machine that only creates further questions, being the definition of a Voodoo Shark just so Eggman could be a threat. For Issue 11, the first story was one of amazing concepts that was undermined by plot holes! I LOVE the concept of evil versions of the main heroes! But they weren’t fleshed out enough to be the great characters they could’ve been! So I'm just annoyed by them because it's never explained how they ended up being evil! This overshadows the second story, which is simple and involves Coconuts having his own evil plan, which is interesting, him acting on his own, but feels underwhelming because NONE of the heroes are afraid of him, just because he’s not Eggman! There’s also a third story in this issue that's a ridiculous, pointless dream of Sonic's full of puns NON-STOP. For Issue 12, the first story introduced time travel, as a story element! Already that’s a big problem! It insults the audience’s intelligence by having dinosaurs talk, and not dinosaur Mobians, but literal dinosaurs. And there’s two really big plot holes! One being, well one all together when there’s no villain taking over the world to fight – other than Caveman Robotnik but how can they fight him when they stay in caves all day? – but two, if the cave people refuse to go outside to find food, why are they still alive?! If they're scared to go out because it's dangerous, how did they survive doing so? And the biggest problem, is why the Freedom Fighters won’t use this time machine against Eggman at all! They could’ve prevented him from rising to power effortlessly! It should've been explained that Sonic was actually sent to another dimension, explaining why he saw people looking just like his friends and himself and Eggman. That explains why there's Mobians thousands of years before they would exist. The second story focuses on some random new character I don’t care about because he doesn’t have a personality! He somehow, never discovered that his old group of friends were living in the same mountain all that time! At least he saves Sonic. Maybe the real problem is that it only starts with Sonic and some new guy. Sure is convenient that the bird guy was able to fly, after not being able to fly earlier. First the turkey and now this. I guess he just was strong-willed enough after seeing his flock alive. And the third story, it’s easily the best one of the three! A fascinating concept, an unlucky lynx! And Sonic learned to creatively use the bad luck against Eggman! I never thought of Sonic as creative before reading this comic, and now that I have, this is definitely something I admire about him! I’d like to know why Larry Lynx was unlucky in the first place.
