Night-Night, Little Pookie

Perfect little topics and stories for the little one and wonderfully illustrated.

This is one of my 2 year old favourite books - he makes me read it again and again. Nearly as good as 'What's Wrong Little Pookie?' which he knows off by heart. Sweet character, good rhythm and thyme to the story so they can read along with you.

Sandra Boynton is a great author with some really incredible titles. We're fans of hers in our family. This book, Night-Night Little Pookie, follows Pookie a little pig as she gets ready for bed. Pookie's mom starts out with "It's time for bed" and as the pages progress Pookie gets on her pjs, brushes her teeth, hops into bed and gets a goodnight kiss. It's a nice way to read about bedtime routines for kids, but what really makes this book standout is the final goodnight wish mama gives to Pookie -- three kisses and a short poem which revolves around the mom saying," I love you and love you". The poem is lovely and our kids really love hearing it. This book is great for calming down and getting ready for bed and Sandra Boynton does a great job. The other top book in this series is Happy Birthday Pookie. Also really nice.

We've purchased tons of Sandra's books and are fans of them all. This is one of my favorites. I love reading these to my 13 month old.
