Q: Can I use these gloves to handle hot lamps and metal?

Hi CalStudent and thank you for your question. The General Utility has never been rated for heat. It does have additional padding on the palm that will help when handling hot objects. Ironclad's heat rated gloves are the HW4--rated to 450 degrees F and the HW6X--rated to 600 degrees F. Macky L Ironclad Customer Service

You can wear them but I couldn’t swear that they’re proof against being shocked. They are comfortable I will say
