Yes but do not connect the aluminum directly to the switch. Connect the switch to 6" copper leads, then used a compression type (twist-on) connector to connect the copper wire to the aluminum wire. The connectors MUST be labelled as suitable for both AL (aluminum) and CU (copper).

Why does the listing say imported while the words "made in usa" are stamped into the metal in the picture?

Perhaps made in USA using parts from outside the US, like China.
