If you know you know
Shrimps paste is a quintessential item in any se Asian cuisine. But it is also extremely versatile and once you get accustomed to the taste there are many ways you can make it. I used to get my supply from home but now I can rely on Amazon. It's a permanent item in my pantry.

Smells horrible in bottle but not in the dish
I love following recipes of Marion Grasby and I was long looking for this item which is must for Indonesian/Malaysian dishes. The product came well packaged, and I won't sugar-coat, it smells horrible if you don't like the dry fish smell! But as Marion said, the smell goes away when you use it. I used it to make Mee Goreng and it turned out fantastic. You just need a little bit of it depending on the recipe (most will call for 1 teaspoon or so but go less if you are new to South Asian dishes) so will last a long. I have kept it in the Fridge. The only issue I have is that I couldn't find any clear cut expiry date.

Perfect
Delivered in great packaging.. It's the original shrimp paste and you know that because of its smell(don't smell it) People who don't know the ingredient might give it a negative review, but if you know what you need to cook with this paste just go for it!!

Best Available Thai Brand for Shrimp Paste
The sharp and precise taste of this Thai brand is not as refined as Lee Kum Kee's shrimp paste, but it toasts better due to its dryer and course texture. The result is a crispy tanginess that is recognizable.TIP: Use as a substitute for anchovy for your spaghetti recipes. The sautéed fragrance is as heavenly as anchovy.
