Cheap, glued visible and construction is poor at best

It was very expensive for what it is. The paper didn't even fill the journal. If I saw it in a store, I certainly would never have paid this amount for it. My daughter loves it and that was all that mattered, but certainly too expensive for what it is, in my opinion.

I love this book. The pages feel so earthy and the whole design is great!

I think this seemed more enchanting in my imagination. I thought it would be really special and have a magical sense to it. If found the leather very hard and not good quality and I question the authenticity of some of the stones. This could be so much nicer and have a richer feel to it. It also had a strong smell coming out of the package and I can sometimes still smell it when I'm at my desk, but it's not so strong. I will use this and it could be nice for a young apprentice, but for something with more exact or sophisticated tastes, this just doesn't pass those tests. The sliding clasp is a nice addition -- In theory, an amazing journal, that just didn't live up to my ideal...or my theory.

What I had envisioned this book being was not at all what I got. It was very expensive for what it turned out to be. The stones are dingy and I'm not sure they are real. They are scuffed up too. They are also not in a very straight line. The leather doesn't seem to be of good quality either.A few positive aspects: the clasp seems decent enough and I very much like the pages. They are beautiful and I love the binding.

Love it! The linen paper inside is so soft. Nice leather. Got for my daughter and she loves it. Would highly recommend!

I love it. Bought this for my D&D friend who is a wizard. The pages almost have a papyrus texture and somewhat aged feeling. The stones all have different shines and really pop out. The book looks kinda weathered which was exactly what I was hoping for. There are some parts that could have been more polished, like the glue on the stones which could easily be polished. No big deal for me but I could see this upsetting some as the price is a bit up there for a book like this.

So in love with this. It's beautiful. Regular pens don't work well on the paper so I bought marker pens and they're perfect.
