However my earlier orders of milk thistle used to be of reddish colour and to my surprise this time around it tastes and look different, so if you can kindly intervene and clear the doubt. Milk thistle seeds are well known in today's health conscious world for their cleansing effects on the liver organ. I am a health food aficionado and as I learnt about milk thistle seeds benefits on liver and digestion i ordered this from this brand which I am familiar with, having used their other seeds and berries with satisfaction.I received the small plastic bottle pack well in time.The bottle has a strip seal to keep it temper proof. The square bottle is a tough PET container with a white lid .I have been using them in powdered form after toasting the seeds for a week now.The powder has a pleasant nutty flavor that can be sprinkled over porridge, dals, salads or even blended into drinks / protein shakes.  I tried using the powder in tea infusion and quite enjoyed it that way also.Its key ingredient Silymarin has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

All the seeds are clean and ready for consumption. A little processing is required but this is a great product anyways. Perfect for liver health and detox.

Both the packets of milk thistle seeds were bought on Amazon from the same company, Sattvic Foods. The one on the right was purchased by my sister and since I liked it, I placed an order as well.But I was disappointed to find a different product altogether. The seeds I received were extremely bitter in taste, unfit for consumption. The one bought by my sister, on the other hand could be consumed as it is and didn't have that bitter taste. Also both seeds look different.We both made our purchases through Amazon, from the same company.I'm concerned that the packet ordered by me contains seeds unfit and unsafe for human consumption. I tried roasting the seeds as mentioned in the packet, but the flavour profile didn't change much.
