It was fun to get a brand new 78 and it plays great.But I only recommend this for the novelty of it. The music is somewhat bland and very repetitive. They could have at least paired songs in contrasting keys and tempos.That said, while Bussard may not be a first rate performer, he's a fascinating character with a lot of musical knowledge and insight. I give my highest recommendations to the documentary about him, "Desperate Man Blues," and the CD "Down in the Basement - Joe Bussard's Treasure Trove of Vintage 78s."
