The Kat Trap: A Novel Mass Market Paperback – July 26, 2011

Let me start this review by giving Cairo mad love & two thumbs up for writting a super sexually charged up book.Kat Trap is hotter then fish grease at a baptist church cook out.The main character is Katrina "aka Kat" she's a sexy,fine & hot in the pants female murderess who lures her unsuspecting victims to there own deaths by seducing & sexing them.Katrina has the sex drive of a Vegas hooker in a porno movie and a mouth that was filthier then a big city sewage treatment plant.The language in this book is raw & x-rated from the beginning of page 1 to the end of page 344 & all the pages inbetween.Besides the sex & cold blooded murders in this novel there's another story to be told,that's the disfunctional relationship between Katrina,her mother & her 3 hood rat aunts.There is not a single drop of love lost between Katrina and her mother, these two women where like oil & water when they where around each other.Katrina doesn't hold her tongue for anyone especially her mother,they would go at each other worse then a pack of cats & dogs.You dont realize how serious the problem is between these women until Katrinas mother is laying up in the ICU unit in the hospital.Kat has a mouth on her that would make a US sailor proud,she would not hesitate to bring the noise & curse anyone out in a New York City minute.The way this novel ends there has to be a sequel because there are a few doors that where left open & plenty of unanswered questions such as what's up with Iris and Tameka after they got arrested,what up with Tamia & her STD problem.What about all the drama between Katrina,her mother & her 3 aunts,does Cash ever get a chance to have his way sexually with Katrina or Chanel.What becomes of Katrina after she murders her last victim.After reading Kat Trap my nose was left wide open for a sequel,there's more then enough material to write a sequel.I just hope & pray that Cairo the author doesn't disappoint his loyal fans & leaves us hanging with no type of solid ending to this sexually charged drama filled novel,up next for me is The Man Handler,another hot joint by Cairo,I'm out...

A lot of potential that wasn’t met. Maybe it’s in part 2. Could have been an erotic thriller, but it disappointed. Could tell it is a male author trying to write from a woman’s perspective. The phrase, “I’m not beat to…” and different variations were overused. Her friends were just irrelevant to the story, like they were just thrown in for extra storylines. And it didn’t make sense how she killed these men in their lavish hotel rooms, walked back to her room, and she never got caught. The cameras had to work in at least one hotel. The author never made mention to cameras or the lack thereof. That needs to be explained.

The killing aspect of the organization was the best part of the story to me, but it didn't go anywhere, in my opinion. I felt the author could have done more with that than the side stories that really didn't go anywhere or get resolved. The main character didn't learn or grow from none of her failed relationships. I did enjoy the sex scenes and the small banter. I just wanted a lil more about the organization, which can be a story within itself.

OMG!! I don't know how I slept on this man but I only discovered Cairo this year. After reading his first book I was like a crack head searching for more of his work. This man is FYA and his work is only for the grown, unhibited and sexy. My husband is not a reader but after I read this books he was trying to help me find more Cairo works to get his just deserts!! I love this author because you never know what his books will bring. Although he is a man he writes in the male and female point of view. After reading this book I wanted to be the charaters in which I read.

I loved the business in Katrina. If she put her business ethic into something other than being a hit woman, she'd be on top of the world! Lol..unfortunate for ol boy at the end though. Seems like she really liked him. But she plated it smart throughout the book. The one thing I gotta say is, you better not read this book with innocent ears because I swear it almost made my ears bleed with all the cussin lol...I don't agree with females calling themselves bitches..but this is a great book! I almost wish I was bad ass just like Kat!
