Apex7-Day Pill Organizer, Ultra Bubble-Lok, 1 Organizer (Pack of 2)

I was buying these at Walmart. After several years, one would break, I'd go to Walmart and replace it (I load up 4 at the beginning of every month). Walmart no longer sells risky style. Very happy this supplier has them! Matches my other sorters. Actually these seem better made! No color selection, you get what you get. (My pills don't seem to mind though) I mature enough that the pastel colors do not matter. LOL

I have previously purchased these and loved the size that it holds. Since it is really hard to control prescription medications for my husband, a larger holder helps. When a container breaks, you order a replacement. What they send is not the same size. I could care less what color, but the size matters.

I bought this 2-pack to eventually replace my previous ones of the same size and especially one that is too large. I have used them daily for years with excellent results. I travel frequently and the pill organizers have taken a beating in my checked luggage, carry-on, or backpack. They never broke, unlocked, or spilled contents. Once I accidentally knocked a full box off the counter onto a tile floor with plenty of force, which was the only time the contents spilled - although only two or three cells popped open. The others held fine in spite of this abuse.For me these are the perfect size as they are small enough to be convenient, yet could hold 3-4 large capsules plus nearly a dozen small pills. That's far more space than I need today, but I feel "future proofed". Most of the colors are translucent, so you can see through to know there are pills inside a cell. The white box is opaque and does not allow you to see inside. I prefer the translucent ones.

While I'm happy to have two of these for morning and evening meds, the design isn't very good. If you look at the picture closely, you can see that the front edge is rounded. This is a problem because if you push one of the lids down without holding onto the whole organizer, it tips over and spills all the pills onto the counter and the floor. The lids snap on and stay on, so that part is good, but that rounded feature is bad design, and caused me to be dismayed and kind of mad the first (and only) time it happened to me. It's a very tippy organizer, you need 2 hands.

.We received two in our order or enough for two weeks of pills or since they are different colors one AM and one PM. Overall, we are pleased with the purchase. They seem to be a good quality product for the price and work well for the intended purpose.They are 6.5" Long x 1.125" High x 1.25" Deep. The resulting daily compartment is pretty capacious and could fit a small handful of pills 6-10, more if small). The bottom of the compartment is rounded in the front making pulling the pills out with a finger easy if you choose not to just pick it up and dump the contents in your hand.The lids lock well and don't open accidentally, even when dropped. We find the individual compartments can either be opened by pushing on the rounded front of the compartment or lifting the tab up. We think that they will wear better if pushing on the front of the compartment to secure release as pulling up on the tabs seems to put more stress on the hinges.So far, only two negatives:[1] No color choice. We received Pink & Lilac not the Blue as pictured. These colors are near the bottom of the list for us. They look like Easter year round. Could be worse but it would be nice if sellers either went neutral or gave buyers a choice of color.[2] The hinges are wide but thin plastic. They are working well but we question how durable they will prove to be. We think we may eventually have to apply tape to reinforce the hinges, but so far, so good.So overall, good but not great = 4 stars..

[UPADATE]Following my critical review, I was promptly contacted by the owner of the seller: Rock Ridge Sales, Inc. He included instructions for this pill organizer which revealed that I had not been using it properly. He also offered to replace my broken products. I am happy with the his prompt action. I'm changing my rating from 2 stars to 5 stars. I've also purchased another, larger, pill organizer for my dad, from this same seller.Thank you Don with Rock Ridge Sales!Positive:* The compartments are a good size - I take many medications and supplements each day and night.Negative:* The compartment latches are so secure that I have a hard time getting them open.* After only 4 months one of the latches broke.* It is poorly balanced - if all the compartment tops are open, with no pills in it, it will tip over backwards.

Arrived early and as described

Would probably have been an OK pill box, but it arrived with the latches broken off of two of the lids. They appear pretty fragile. I am also suspicious of the claims that it will not fall open when traveling -- the bubble that you press to release the lid is pretty exposed.

I've used these medication containers for years & have been searching for the same ones for quite a while, so I was really pleased to find them, they are big enough to hold all of my tablets & are nice & strong, I just wish I could have chosen the colour I wanted, but that's my only niggle.
