I purchased this book assuming that this book was a typical sized chapter book. When I received the book, I was disappointed to find that it was actually an 8" x 10" and the formatting of the book was not very appealing either. Thus, I was not able to use this book for my school project and ended up buying another book about an apparel designer. Unfortunately, I was so busy with school at the time that I did not have time to even deal with returning this book, so I chose to keep it.I would like to point out that GSDeals, the seller I purchased this book from, was kind enough to give me a partial refund for this, and I enjoyed doing business with them afterall. (By the time I received their offer, the 60 days had passed, and I was unable to remove my feedback from their page, but otherwise I would have removed it.) Thank you GSDeals. :)

Person it was bought for is a current Macy's employee. They absolutely loved this book as it contains so many historical facts and stories about the founders of what is now known as Macy's. Illustrations and story extremely well done. Great book for anyone interested in the Macy's story or the Retail business in general. Can really learn about how the older generation of prominent retailers took care of their employees as family and assets when compared to the current trend of $'s only and employees as a commodity.

Interesting book on Macy's. I like the early history on Macy and the Strauss Family.

This book gives a good history of Macys. I work there part time and have shopped there from time to time but never knew the whole history of Macys. Now I know why Macys is called Americas' favorite department store.

What a beautiful book about Macy's! Gorgeous pics throughout and much more information than I was expecting. I plan to share this find with my sister who is a fellow Macy's aficionado!

Wish I could have this book since I can no longer realize my bucket list item to attend the Macy's Turkey Parade. The book was a dream that was shattered and now I cannot afford its available cost at 5x the price. I was duped by this western Canada seller like many other customers.Thank you Amazon Marketplace E-Z guarantee, I am not 'out of pocket' since they reimbursed me the outlaid monies.I can only hope that this book becomes available once more at an affordable price for me to own it.
