Thermacell Tick Control Tubes 12 Pk, Kill Ticks that May Carry Lyme Disease

It works very well while protecting wildlife and humans. We live in a wooded area and have lots of forest critters (deer, squirrels, raccoons and so on) I have always seen dead ticks in my inground pool. There’s wasn’t a year that I haven’t until this year. This product is amazing. I’m ordering more for next year. I put half the box out in the spring, I got around the forest brush line, our fire pit area, or firewood area, it was super easy.

These worked great. I put them in my garage and outside shed. I’ve noticed less ticks getting on the dogs this summer. Although we also have mouse/rat traps, the critters still find a way to pull the cotton out of these and escape. But not dealing with sooo many ticks this summer has been great. Will buy again.

We use these every year to help control ticks around our property and they’ve always worked well for us. They’re very easy to place around the perimeter and don’t take much effort. The only downside is the price has definitely gone up over the years, which gives me pause, but we still keep coming back to them because they’re effective.

I highly recommend this product. After a tick scare (one smaller than the head of a pin) on my baby, we started looking into options for our backyard. We have neighbors who keep bees, and were a little reluctant to do a spray. I decided to give this a try, and I am so glad that I did. We've been using this product for several years now (2 applications per year), and the tick population seems to have decreased significantly. We went from seeing several ticks a year (sometimes daily when outside during the peak of tick season), to not seeing any. We live in a very wooded area, so I was not expecting this to drop the population to zero, I know they are still out there and we still do check ourselves carefully after playing outside, but it gives us the peace of mind to be in our backyard, garden, and play. This solution takes time to work, but if you commit to it, I don't think you'll regret it.

Soo product says mice pull the cotton out to make nests and the impregnated cotton kills the ticks in their nest. Ticks do not crawl in the tubes and die.

Website states it isn't harmful to pets. WRONG!!! PERMETHRIN IS HIGHLY TOXIC TO CATS!!!! It is one of the most common poisoning of cats in the world....CAN RESULT IN SERIOUS ILLNESS IN CATS AND EVEN DEATH! Doesn't affect dogs. NEVER put a dog flea collar on a cat. If you spray permethrin on your clothes keep them away from your cats. Unless you like VET bills or sick cats. Gave five stars just to get that message out.

I’ve had a whole box of these deployed in our wooded camp site since the beginning of May. NOT ONE has any material missing from inside the tubes. As far as I’m concerned they don’t work at all and it’s just an EPIC money grab from the company. DON’T BUY IT, you’ll be greatly disappointed.
