I would have given 5 stars but there are no instructions on how to attach the stretchy black string that comes in a separate little bag. I finally figured out that there are two very, very small black tabs on the starfish side. The separate black stretchy adjuster fits through these small tabs to either use as a chin strap or use as a second way to tighten the hat around the head in addition to the velcro tab. You must squeeze the button and release one black stretchy string and put the end metal piece through the tab and then put it back through the squeeze button. Do the same to the other side and then you have your chin strap. The hat is very cute - I could actually wear it but the chin strap would be a little small for me. The rim must be wired so you can adjust it which is great - my granddaughter doesn't like wide rims flopping in her face to prevent her view. Once you insert the metal end piece and have them through the squeeze button I would suggest making a knot and just removing the small metal piece - it will just rust I am sure!

If this fit, I'd give it 5 stars, for quality, how quickly it was delivered and being exactly as described. Only problem is that it is too small for my 4yo daughter's head, though she is in the 90% for height and weight and her dosages for medicine and sizes for clothes run closer to a 6 or 7yo. The issue is that her head measurement fit within the listing's #s, so beware! I'd estimate the hat to be at least an inch too small, unfortunately. Otherwise it's a great hat! :(
