Great tool to have when you need it!
I found myself needing this tool on a manly woodworking project I was doing in the garage the other day and I did not have it. My neighbor brought a set of these over and they worked like a charm on getting out the stripped Phillips head (used to be) screw. Worked so well and cut the aggravation and damage down to so much that I picked up a set for myself for $11.88. Now I got my own to use or lend out when needed. On operation: One side is the drill your own new hole side. Set drill to operate right. Get you a nice new divot in the screw head. Then turn your extractor around and set drill for reverse. Now, slowly unscrew that son of a snitch.

Cheaper than similar products
Cheaper than the other similar products and comes with a nice case to keep them in. Have not tried on screws that were rusted in but did work on some that were in plastic appliances.

does it job
After drilling out enough stripped screws I figured it was time.... this set is well priced and works pretty well. sure beats drilling the screws out

Good Quality Extractors
Seems like good quality for the price. I got this to keep in my toolbox just in case I need it in the future, but this comes in a nice case and seems like the same quality as the big box store versions. I cant attest to durability yet, but these extractors seem like everyone should have them around.

Works
I received this RIOA set from Amazon by mistake, as I did not order it; I was credited back the cost after some wrangling.Just used it, after a year, and lo and behold it worked on a large flat head Phillips screw that got stripped out trying to remove it. (Why do manufacturers insist on using Phillips on high torque applications?)Tried #3 first, and it stripped out, then tried #4, and it worked. Cut a groove in the flat head, and used the same screw Via the slot head.I did do some research, and the RIOA gets the best reviews from multiple online sites.Just ordered another set (This time I will pay for it, as I DID ORDER IT) for another location.Screw extractors are a crap shoot at best, so when they work, it is a plus and you don't have to drill and try using a regular easy out which are not all that easy.

garbage
I must have gotten the cheap knock offs but used once the metal is softer than the screw I was taking out on a vacuum cleaner.

Useless
The instructions are not clear and the material is softer than the screw.
