Azusa Mini Bike Kit with 8" Wheels

I added it up and by the time I added the paint, engine, clutch, odds and ends, the kit, the shipping and taxes I have to pay just over $1,000! You can buy a brand new slightly larger mini bike, try the Coleman CT200 6.5hp mini bike ready to ride for $549 at Walmart and it has a headlight and front suspension and a warranty! If you are looking at one about the same height or slightly smaller as the one in this kit, Walmart has a Coleman CT100 mini bike with a 3hp engine ready to ride for $349. You can buy 3 complete CT100 for the price of one of these kits. This kit should be half what they are selling it for, way overpriced! Up to you, buy one kit and you piece it together or buy 3 CT100 mini bikes at Walmart and you and two family member ride today, your choice!

Full disclosure: I didn’t buy this kit, it makes no economic sense. After paying shipping it would cost about $520, and you would probably have to pay at least $100 more for all of the parts they don’t include besides the engine. I have an engine laying around that would work, but for $620 and free shipping I can buy a complete ready to ride mini-bike here on amazon instead. Why spend as much or more and have to do all the labor of building it, when you can have a complete running mini-bike delivered to your door?

I bought this because I was looking for a little project. Yes, it is pricey, but I thought it would be fun to build. There are too many poor quality control issues coming out of Asuza and I would not recommend it. A number of issues that I ran into - The brake cable wire was cut too short so I could not attach it to the drum brake. I had to order another one. The rear stamped drum brake was out of round and would catch the brake pad when rotated in certain spots. Looking at the one from Taco which is another purchase. Also, the seat was ripped when I got the kit. There were some other little things that I had to bend and adjust which I was fine with, but you would think after all this time they would have this kit perfected. Over all I think you are better off buying some Chinese brand. Save your money.

We bought the AZUSA Mini-Bike kit for our son. The kit is overpriced and has been nothing but problems. The drum brake system on this min-bike is a horrible design. The brake kit that came with the kit did not work properly, so we ordered another drum brake kit. We had the same issues, but finally were able to get it to work somewhat for my son to ride the bike. Overall, avoid this mini-bike kit.

This is expensive kids . I'm buying another mini pre built , ready to ride !
