These are not as heat proof as I would have liked. I got them to replace my padded fabric ones which had worn and were letting through the heat after holding something for a short time and unfortunately these are letting through just as much as my broken ones. You don’t feel the heat immediately but if holding something for a short while you can.

I love these, my husband manged to destroy my last pair (which is some feat as they are really sturdy) and I had to come back and buy the same again. Am really delighted with these oven gloves. They are more expensive than many but are well worth the extra. Length protects wrists, though quite large the fact that the ends are flexible means they fit even smallish hands and they are very practical. Easy to wash and keep clean. Would recommend this product and will be buying a second pair.

Purchased to replace a worn out set of oven mits and hoped that they would over the same degree of heat resistance. Simply put - they don’tHolding an oven tray is challenging for anything like basting some spuds where you hold for more than 20 seconds.Nothing like as good as the old Le Creuset oven gloves (not the new ones, which suck) - still looking for a good replacement, but these are not it.

Really good, effective oven gloves. Well worth the price and easy to use - though they do seem to have been designed for a man's hands.They do let you get a firm and safe grip on casseroles, trays and otger hot utensils straight out of the oven. My old pair were joined together and it could be difficult to get a proper grip on wide trays. These having separate hands makes life easier.Cleaning is usually as simple as running them under the tap.Well worth the price.

On the whole, I'm very happy with these - they're attractive, they provide decent heat insulation, and they're easy to clean.My only gripe is that they're a bit too big, which can make them unwieldy when you're trying to grip something between your thumb and fingers - I appreciate that one size has to be big enough for everyone, but if you have small hands (which I do not) you might find using these a bit like trying to tie your shoelaces while wearing boxing gloves! I would say that in that case there's always the option to take off the whole mitt and wrap it around the thing you need to pick up.
