Fireclick (Old Fireclick)

This torch was purchased after much research into finding a new torch for my kitchen. The igniter on the first torch I was sent went out almost immediately, which was upsetting. I emailed the customer service address on the box, got a response, and they shipped me an entirely new torch, no questions asked. That in and of itself is great, but I think it's important to understand the time frame here.Amazon delivered the package. 15 minutes later, the igniter stopped functioning. 10 minutes later, I sent an email to customer service. 15 minutes after that, I had a response. After emailing them my order number, they had a new torch shipped and on its way in under an hour.Under an hour.Fantastic response, and great customer service! As for the torch itself....So far, so good! Really easy to ignite (with a functioning spark!), the controls are intuitive, and the flame is very intense. The igniter itself has this neat function; the gas turns down as it's igniting, then rises to your set level as you release the button. This is a nice safety feature to prevent suddenly blasting flame everywhere.Overall, a very sleek, functional torch. Very happy!

I filled the tank and could immediately hear a stream of butane leaking out. I attempted to tighten the fill nozzle on the torch, but it was already tight. I'd imagine that to be quite dangerous using the torch with butane leaking out.

The first torch I ordered would not ignite when the button was pushed, although I could hear the gas emitting. I contacted the sellers and they cheerfully offered me a 50% refund or a new torch. I requested the new torch and when it got here in the next 2 days, it worked perfectly with the first click. The torch works very well for caramelizing or toasting vegies....the flame extends only about 2.5", depending on the gas volume selected (on right side of unit), and the silicon pad they send with it is useful for putting it under whatever dish I'm torching. The silver finish isn't the prettiest, but the unit works well, is a good size, and is easy to fill with butane. I am very satisfied with it.

The product arrived quickly, even quicker than expected. We were pleased with the delivery, as usual. And it was cheap. Those are the only things we were satisfied with. We filled the torch with Ronson multi-fill butane and tested it out.FEATURES: There are four controls that operate the torch: a lighter/igniter button; a "switch" that is supposed to keep the flame lit without holding the ignitor; a slider that adjusts the intensity of the flame; and a "turbo" on/off lever that is meant to tone down the flame so it can be used to light candles, etc.OPERATION: The igniter button and the intensity slider worked fine. However, the switch that was supposed to keep the flame lit did not work. When operating the switch, we could not feel it toggle or "click" into either position, and it did not keep the flame lit as described. The "Turbo" lever also did not do anything to adjust the flame as described. The instructions state that you need to "push forward on both sides and hold" the turbo lever with one hand, while pressing the igniter with the other hand. This lever is very stiff, and requires you to apply force in the opposite direction from the other hand, which makes it incredibly awkward to operate the torch effectively.The handle/grip is made of very smooth metal (it feels like polished aluminum), with absolutely no gripping surface. This means that while trying to hold the torch and press the igniter with one hand, and put pressure on any of the other controls with the other hand, the torch would slip out of our grasp. Four times we tried to operate multiple controls as instructed, and all four times the torch slipped out of our hands and fell to the floor. The fourth time it fell, the base cracked and broke.For a product that gets such high ratings and so many positive reviews on Amazon, I expected much better. If the manufacturer could add some texture to the handle to create a grippable surface, relocate the turbo lever so it can be more easily operated by the user's other hand, and ensure that the buttons operate as described, this torch would be worth the money we spent.

Expensive torch for shelf life of 6 weeks. Used about 5x week for moderate use. No problems for 2 weeks, then would have to click multiple times for any kind of flame, then had to have gas on high for it to start at all. And now, starter will click and you can hear the gas, but nada. Crap product.

I always wanted one of these, but put it off because it seemed fun, but not especially practical. It is more practical than I thought it would be. When it has come up that I wanted to carmalize something, I used to put it in the oven and broil it. It was awkward. Didn’t necessarily fit, or I felt uncomfortable putting a certain dish in the oven.It is not made for this, but I have started my fireplace with it too. It’s a lot easier.It didn’t come with the fluid and Amazon would not ship me any. So you have to do that somewhere else.

And now I'm out of the return window because I didn't use the device in time to see it was dysfunctional.

"Make sure to order the butane to go with it. Communication with the seller is great. I have not used my torch yet as I ordered my butane later."UPDATE: I’ve used my torch and it’s amazingly easy to use. The size of it is perfect to handle with ease. I have found no reason why if you need one, you will buy from this seller.

Had to stop and leave an excellent review for this product because I feel its the best torch out there! I've had many torches in my time and some have only lasted a couple weeks!I find this torch to be perfect for all your home and restaurant needs. I have put this torch to the test and I absolutely love it.The customer service I received was very positive, and I could'nt believe how fast and willing they are to help you with any questions or concerns you may have.I definitely recommend you buy, you will NOT be disappointed!!

Used it for a while and it worked OK but then the torch wouldn’t turn off when I released the trigger.Only way to shut it down was to turn it to low and blow it out like a match.Even after it was out I could hear it hissing and I could smell gas escaping.Cheap Chinese made crap that’s not only poor quality, but actually quite dangerous.

Feels very cheap and overpriced for what you're paying. Lots of plastic and cheap chrome paint, feels like it will break very easily. Would not expect it to last long with frequent use.

Not yet formally use yet. Filling gas had a little leaking problem, not sure if due to defect or improper handling, will verify later, otherwise looks okay.

i just switch from propain to butain toruch for daps and man this is perfect.... for $30 why not vs $100 at the freaking store man use to fill you dont need a adpater and i have never used a butain torch or filled one before this is perfect
