Bench Buddy Umbrella Holder

I was looking for something to rig a smallish umbrella over my workspace as I hook a computer up to a measuring device in rainy weather. I stumbled across this and it works perfectly for my needs. It seems to be quite heavy-duty, and the multiple angles and positioning possibilities have already come in handy multiple times, and today was the first day I used it! It also arrived very quickly after placing my order, which is great because it's supposed to rain all week.

Pros:It seems to work pretty well.The directional adjustments are handy.It is made very sturdy.I could make it work in many situationsCons:It is quite heavy. But I prefer heavy and quality construction over cheap plastic or any other inferior materials. Therefore, I don't believe it is a true con.

Almost built one of my own, but then saw this and am not disappointed. Made well, strong, and versatile. Used it for a couple of picnic events and with two sizes of umbrellas. But the real test was our road trip to 6 Nat'l Parks this Aug 2017 and between wind, rain, heat and lightning, it really saved several days of the trip since it would clamp on to various types of tables or benches and the tilt function kept us in the shade and/or dry. May need to buy another.

This product was hard to maneuver on the seat of the bleachers and the clamp piece made of rubber melted after 3 or 4 times of using on metal bleachers in the sun.

Great for placement on a BBQ bar. The only thing missing here is a better way to stop the umbrella at the desired height without scratching the umbrella. A screw is used to tighten down the umbrella and hold it in place, which is standard for a floor base umbrella stand; however, since this umbrella stand holds the umbrella in the middle it leaves a noticeable scratch on my umbrella, I tried to put wax or a rubber stopped on the screw but that doesn't work. Now I just have to make sure that I place the screw in the same spot each time so as to not leave a new mark. The actual metal tube holder will scratch your umbrella too so file the edges down or be careful.

I received the wrong item. I the spike in the ground version. It is total crap... Cannot hold the weight of a standard umbrella in the vertical position... I won't even try the angle position. I have attempted to place some bricks on the stand to keep it in the ground... Doesn't work and it's ugly. I will find another option since I can't get the clamp on one I wanted.

It worked perfect even in the windy weather. Although my umbrella flip over cuz of the wind, this thing stayed and held my umbrella no matter what! Also it can adjust so many angles! I used it many times on my daughter's swim meet. This is a must-have!!

This is a great idea and I can't think of a better design. However, we can't use it very often because it isn't practical for all light beach chairs and that's what we use. It is also inconvenient to carry around and store. If you are attaching umbrellas to benches or larger patio furniture then you will probably give this 5 stars.
