Great value, does its job well, and looks good whole doing it
Let's get one thing out of the way: don't buy this if you're expecting to get a $150 ottoman for $49. A close examination shows the compromises you'd expect to see in an inexpensive but perfectly good version of the full grain leather, heavy wood frame, fancy hinges, and generally perfect ottoman we all wish we could afford. The wood frame seems be made of 1-1.5 inch wood and feels well put together and sturdy enough to seat a 200+ pound person. It wouldn't be wise for anyone to jump or bounce on it or use as a step stool, because the middle of the top would surely sag and the cushioning on the top is just soft enough to make standing on it unsafe. At 16" square it looks smaller than what I thought I needed, but it turns out that the top is level with my sofa cushion, so it's perfect, but probably too small if you need your feet elevated. I love the light weight, and the feet keep it in place but slide with little effort. The top is level enough to accommodate my bad habit of eating while sitting on the sofa. The PU leather is even and smooth and I can't feel thin spots or other defects. PU leather isn't as strong or durable as actual full grain leather, but if treated decently can last for years. Still, if you scratch, cut, or scuff through the waterproof coating and get the PU leather wet the material will be weakened and tear easily. The stitching on the lid is even and tight except for one set of three stiches that stick out a millimeter or two. I found one thin white line an inch or so long next to one row of stitches that I easily wiped off by rubbing it with a dampened finger. I didn't find any other marks or imperfections in the leather. The hinges look solid and well attached to the frame. The strip of PU leather that keeps the lid from falling back looks fine; I wouldn't test it by leaning hard on it, though I can't imagine why you would. The interior is lined with a thin black fabric that seems stitched and glued to the frame. It will probably tear if it comes into contact with sharp edges, so don't expect to store tools or anything sharp in it. I will use it for a blanket and an extra cushion, so I don't expect any problems.Overall this ottoman looks good, is well made, and does its job perfectly, but it's not a luxury item. But if you're like me, you'll be happy to find a good looking seviceable piece of furniture at a price that won't break the bank.

Great very lightweight ottoman
Comfy cushioning. Super lightweight. So far feels sturdy but I wonder a little bit about longevity due to the extremely light weight. Makes me think it must be made of pine which may not be the strongest choice. But so far I love it. I use it to rest my legs on, underneath my computer desk. I like to sit cross-legged, but when I do I don't fit on the desk chair confortably. With this ottoman I can rest my legs in front of the seat and sit cross-legged comfortably. The extra storage space is a major bonus for my circumstances, too.

Storage ottoman
Picked this because it works well with existing adjacent chairs. Appearance is good and looks more expensive than it costs. The vinyl covering feels a little fragile and not too sure how it will last. We tend to go thru ottomans every 3-4 years and if this one holds up for this time frame I'll be happy.

Great product
The material is soft! Very comfy seating. It also holds all the file folders i want to hold, it's a good little multi purpose cube to provide seating and storage for my tiny home office! I am very happy with the purchase!

Very happy with this.
I'm pleasantly surprised. This has a wooden frame and feels quite sturdy. It isn't one of the cardboard ones that you have to set up. It came all in one piece. The red/brown is perfect for what I wanted. The interior is quite sizeable. I am happy & I recommend it for the average home.

Good quality
I am looking for this to replace my 20 years old storage ottoman where I can sit down to put on my socks and shoes. This is very similar to the one that I had. The material and workmanship are pretty good, the price is good. Will definitely buy again if I needed one.

Perfect size!
I set this between two chairs in my living room and put a serving tray on top. So now we can use it to storebooks and magazines and also set drinks and snacks on top. It is just the right size and looks expensive.I have seen similar ones in furniture stores foe more than this one. We have not put a lot of weight on it so I don'thow much it will support but it works just fine for our needs and looks great!

Would not guy it again...
I was replacing a slightly larger storage hassock. I thought this would work but...it's so light that when I put my feet up on it from my chair it moves away. I'd store something in it (as I did the other one) but the inside smells....(not terrible and I've tried "airing it on the deck", spraying it etc but enuf so I can't put my chair blanket in it). The other hassock had a piano hinge...this one has straps making it more difficult to manipulate without opening it all the way. The pleather isn't really stuffed thickly on the flat surface so that resting your feet leaves indents and I fear this will be one of those things that will just not last a long time. I can't speak to the value as things that used to cost $35.00 (as the old hassock did and then lasted for 12 years) now cost $70+...so this might be priced right but that doesn't make it a bargain. The upside is it's at a perfect height for my armchair and it's smaller than the one I had so easier to get around. And it's nice looking. I guess it depends on your use for it, but I can't "rave".

Advertised size is way off!
The product is advertised as 16x16x16" when in actual fact the useable space is 13x13x12". It is far too small for my needs and sadly I bought two. One rocks back and forth and the company would only reimburse me $20.00 or let me return and charge me $80.00.. a total rip off.
