They’re really thin and do not support books at all! If you have 10 or less books they might work.

These book ends do look nice but unfortunately they are not the heavy metal sturdy product I was expecting. They are light and bend at the slightest weight on them.

Attractive bookends in black steel. Heavy enough for larger books but I am using them for DVDs and CD box sets.Good quality, would recommend.

Arrived really quick. Well packaged. ideal strong book stands Nice and slim, so do not take any room off shelf for books.

Bigger books definitely not!
You might think from looking at these that they would be good on either end of a music book shelf. They are not. I must have put only around 12 books before I got to the stage qgerebif I let go, this bookend would just fold over or snap. I can see they would be good goe CDs od DVDs, mYbe even normal size paperbacks, but bigger books like printed music books, absolutely not.
