Better Than Basic Backpack - Dedicated Laptop Compartment, Quick Stash Front Pockets and Lightweight Breathable Airmesh - Olive

Absolutely love this back pack! i use it daily, no wear and tear yet, nice and sleek. very comfortable. the straps do loosen over time though.

I really like this backpack. It has a sleek, simple design, the zippers are super smooth, and it's very comfortable to carry. The laptop compartment is padded and the fabric feels sturdy and substantial. I'm using it for work now, but I'm looking forward to taking it as my personal item on my next trip. However, there ARE a couple things I would change. For example, I do wish it was slightly lighter (the specs on the samsonite website say it's about 2lbs) but it's not as heavy as the OGIO backpack I got from my job (3.2lbs!). The other thing I would probably change is to make the laptop compartment a little thinner and to give the main compartment a little more space, but my laptop is a 14" so that may not be an issue for a lot of other folks. I can fit my laptop, notebook, and a few file folders or a book or something in there if needed. I also didn't love the samsonite logo on the front so I covered it with a button. With those minor details, I would probably rate it a 4.5, but none of it is bad enough to take off a full star. UPDATE: I’ve been using this backpack for about three weeks and I’m starting to experience issues with the zipper on the laptop section busting open. I don’t keep it overfilled and my laptop is small and lightweight, so I’m not sure what the problem is. Updating to 4 stars for now. UPDATE: Well, I'm still a bit frustrated with the zipper issue, but the good news is, If you DON'T use the laptop compartment for a laptop, I don't seem to have a zipper issue. So I put my laptop in the main compartment and then I use the laptop compartment for other things, like loose papers for a meeting, or sometimes and extra shirt for after work, etc. It's kind of annoying to have to do this, and obviously a design flaw of the backpack, but it's so comfortable to carry that I'm willing to use a workaround to solve the issue.

This backpack is slim but it can carry a lot of items. It has a pass through for your carryon bag which every back bag should. I like the small logo as well. I’d say the only con is the zippers jingle when walking around. They are high quality zippers though.

Well made. Have used it a few times - no problems. It matches my Samsonite hard cover rolling luggage and my Samsonite Weekender bag beautifully. Highly recommend.

I was looking for a perfect bag that had space for college. After looking at the north face being pretty narrow, I found this one. It is very spacious. The middle large compartment looks great for books however there is no other little pockets in that one specifically. But the other three compartments which includes the computer sleeve have plenty of little pockets. Plus the water bottle holders do in fact hold my 32 oz Owala. As I saw other reviews say the bag does have more of a greener undertone than expected but it personally doesn't bother me. I have other Samsonite bags and they are great with durability and their warranty. I had a bag have a small thing come off and they replaced the whole bag.

This is a great backpack, been using it for almost 6months now. No significant issues aside from the brand naming at front has fallen off already. That’s not a big deal for me as durability is my top priority but something for others to take note of. I used it for our vacation back in July and after that i started using it for work. So i can say within that small period of time it went from a lot of beating, tossing around and carrying heavy stuffs. But so far it is not showing any wear or tear. The size is just perfect for me, not too big but not too small. Good paddings but can do better with the airflows. Hopefully the durability continues otherwise i will go back to this review and update it.

So disappointing. I was expecting new bag for school and work. Open it and out from wrapper theres some dirt on front like sticky dirt and inside the bag theres this orangey slime residue

One of my fav bags I've owned, I've owned several Samsonite bags with my longest lasting 10 years and I have no complaints The olive green is a beautiful colour and the stitching is top quality. I will say it's on the smaller end of what I was looking for but it's too good to pass up. The straps are easy to adjust and comfortable. The bottle holder expands to accommodate bottles with slightly wider base. The 2 main compartments are nice and spacious and the 2 smalls ones at the front being are able to hold a good amount of space. My highlight of this bag is the laptop holder. It's got a pound in the main compartment that holds the laptop suspended just before the bottom, to protect the tech from falls and such. Over all very pleased
