Sucks out of the box, perfect with an easy modification.
The leading edge on this is a bit too thick to get under stubborn staples. I took a round file and filed it a bit, now it works perfectly.

Best staple remover tool for upholstering that I have found.
I've used this product long enough to know it generally works much better than the C.S. Osborne tool which I have been using for many years. It's just as easy to dig under the staple as the Osborne tool and one the staple is loosened, this tool will usually remove it completely in one step. With the Osborne tool, my experience is that the staple frequently is removed on one side only and I need a second step to pull it out with pliers. Also, this tool is much easier to grip and therefore does not strain my hand muscles as much as the Osborne tool. The Osborne tool is good, but this tool is better.

Handle comfortable but tool not workable
The point is too thick to insert easily under the staple. Had to buy a different tool.

Handle comfort is really good.
It could be user error but I can pull staples faster with my cheapy wood handled remover. Handle comfort is really good.

Great staple puller
This thing is awesome. As one in the upholstery business, I jerk a lot of staples. This will get under the stable without marring the fabric underneath. Also, the "clamping" device "grips" the stable and holds in on the way out. Many times with other pullers I would end up having to finish the staple pull with a pair of side cutters because one side of the staple would pull out while the other remained in the wood.

Don't Bother
This is the least functioning tool I own. The bottom is so slick when I go to apply pressure to the staple the tool moves and I bark a knuckle.
