USB WiFi Adapter 1200Mbps, USB 3.0 Wireless Network Adapter Dual Band 2.4GHz/300Mbps+5GHz/867Mbps for Desktop Laptop Win7/8/8.1/10/Mac 10.4-10.14

I plugged this into an external (blue) USB-3 port on a Windows 10 computer and turned on the computer. The computer is located one floor above my Xfinity router. This USB-3 Realtek 8812BU wireless adapter sold by Thinkmart was detected immediately and the driver installed automatically without the need for the included driver disk. I selected the 5 GHz band since the computer is located in a room directly above the router, and typed in the appropriate code. I ran Speedtest and got 14 ms ping, 255.55 Mbps download speed and 21.77 Mbps upload speed. (I pay $10 extra per month for higher speed Internet service.) This is a fantastic product!

I moved my MAC upstairs and needed the quickest way to connect to the downstairs router, this device did the job perfectly it has an aerial for better reception and gives a bigger range. instead of using a long ethernet cable this is miles better.it's a very nicely made device, it comes with software for older machines but I am running ios all I did was plug it in and it just worked I clicked on network icon in task bar and put the password in for my router and it just worked first time.

The unit was pretty easy to install and worked great at doubling the WiFi speed of my son’s laptop that only has one WiFi antenna and can only use 2.4 ghz. When we switched from my house to his mom’s house, it unit kept generating a pop up box asking to set up a PIN but it wouldn’t let me. I had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work. I expected a more seamless experience.

We did really liked this unit. It gave us a good reception in upload and download speed. But sadly this little guy became loose and stopped working within just 2 months after buying it. The return window is closed and there was no option of purchasing a protection plan or was there any warranty on the product. For that we are rating this 1 star and we would not recommend the purchase of it as it has turned out to not be worth the money. Now we no longer have reliable internet speed which my work depends on and we are out $20.00. :(

This is a pretty good wifi adapter. I'm not sure about the claims for the speeds because even if you have a gigabit router it wont give off an actual gigabit speed over wifi but only over ethernet. The highest speed I received was around 300 MBs downlaod and higher upload for around 350 MBs.Pros:-Very easy to Install and no drivers needed.- Once connected you dont have to reconnect.Predictions:- It will work for a long time but only if treated well.- should work on multiple laptops and PC'sNegatives:- Really big and therefore it makes it harder to use it on laptops because laptops have to be portable, but it would be great for a Desktop.- Could break easily on a pc if bent.Overall this is all I have to say about this wifi adapter.

I replaced a Lenovo IdeaPad single band wifi that had continual drop out problems after many driver updates and changes of settings.Booted up on old wifi and plugged in USB wifi adapter. Windows 10 immediately recoginised it with default drivers. I then used device manager to update driver for it and it did. Then found that I had 2 wifis running, wifi and wifi1. Turned off laptop wifi and used USB wifi1. Had to re enter router password. (Did not use OEM CD at all)Ok runs perfectly, no more problems.One trick. USB port is powered. Make sure you power up USB port first.Noticed that boot time may take a few seconds longer.How long it holds up: to be determined.O

Easy plug and play, except I needed the assistance of my computer "guru" to turn off my built-in wi-fi card on my old Dell desktop. We have Comcast/Xfinity cable, and my internet speeds were great on my new laptop, but sorry on the desktop (download speed of 11mbps with "Blast" internet). After installing this device, I ran speed test again, and downloads were now 158mbps!

This is the first wireless AC adapter I have been able to make work in my house. My home was wired before I bought it, but the cabling is damaged going to my upstairs office, and the only way to connect my desktop to the cable router downstairs is via Wifi. I have tried 3 other adapters and they either never connected or connected unreliably. The router and adapter are only about 40 feet apart but this goes through some walls and the floor. I know AC doesn't play well with walls, but this adapter has never failed to connect, dropped signal, or given me any trouble. I stream and game online, and have experienced no difficulty.

Worked first hour then signal started interrupting after sometime it just died. I would recommend powerline connectivity
