P Tec Products Inc468B 4" No St Sofit Vnt Hood

This vent product is really flimsy. The doors kept popping out under the least bit of twist as I was trying to install it. Been up for a couple weeks or so at this point. Wait and see how they perform.

This unit was installed in conjunction with a bathroom fan. The double doors for the fan are probably needed in some locations with some fans but it was not for ours. We removed the second set or outter doors to permit the inner doors to open more fully. I think the air volume doubled with them removed. Compared to my original plan to make a fiberglass tube-box to fit under the house soffitt this unit saved a few days time. It worked well after we removed the second set of flappers.

Was a perfect fit for my dryer vent in the soffit. I took one star away because the doors are held on by a very fragile and small plastic clip. One of them broke while putting the vent into the soffit.I'm still running it without the outer door. The inner door seems to close just fine.

My vent exits through the soffit in tight quarters and the old flap would not close. Bingo - this fixes the issue! Perfect solution with an improvised baffle to connect up to the pipe in the eaves. Recommended!

Perfect for eave installation. White plastic, but tucked away out of sight.

Does have the highest flow for an eave vent, but this thing is flimsy and kept falling apart. Not much out there to choose from, so this is it.

Love its low profile. Can hardly see it. Works well

will it hold up to the weather and time? a good design
