I always have trouble opening the big Progresso soup cans with the pull tab because of my arthritic fingers. I usually have to ask my husband for help, especially when the pull tab pops off but the top of the can is still sealed tight. I looked at all of the various brands of these openers and this one seemed to have the best reviews so I decided to give it a try. I got it in the mail today and immediately tried it on a Progresso soup can. Worked perfectly! No strain on my fingers at all. You lift up the pull tab just enough to insert the handle and then pull back. The rounded edge gives plenty of leverage to easily open the lid of the can. I'm very happy with my purchase and will be recommending it to friends.

It works well enough, but it is made of hard plastic, not metal, like it says in the description. We will see if it holds up. The last opener I had like this, although a different brand, was also plastic and it broke after the second use.

This tool just makes navigating the kitchen so much easier! I purchased it to help open those pesky tab lids. Today, out of frustration, I found that it also easily pulls off the lid gadget that keeps large bottles attached together as a purchase unit. It worked great! Even if you have strong hands, you can use this tool. Who knew!

I am a Senior Citizen and my hands don't have the strength they once did. Putting my finger in a ring pop-top hurts all the way to the bone if I pull up on it. This little gadget called the Ring Pull Helper is just the thing I needed. I highly recommend it to everyone. Even young people could save their fingers by using it. Bought this for my 75yo mother-in-law and she loves it. She used it at a friends house and really wanted one. They both said they didn’t realize how much easier it is until they actually tried this little tool. It lifts the tabs easily and fits in hands well enough. Could it be a little more ergonomic? Sure but it works well and the price is right for the little jobs it does. Plastic is sturdy enough for lifting tabs.
