Perfect Fit
Receiver is very heavy with thick metal.I've installed one of these before so it only took about 15 minutes.Make sure you have a 12mm hex wrench. Your install with come to a quick stop without it.Good instructions. My biggest concern is the actual receiver opening size. I'm very happy opening size. This is my 2nd Tyger product. I am very happy with their design and quality.

Excellent hitch at an excellent price.
I installed this on my 2005 Dodge Ram and it fit like a glove. Installation was pretty easy, a lot of people say snaking the wire for the bolt through the tube is the worst part, but I avoided that and snaked a long zip tie that I had (one that is used for A/C ducts is what I used) first and tied the wire snake that came with the kit with electrical tape onto the zip tie and it went right through. The wire snake that comes with the kit has a coiled end on one side, to thread the bolt and bracket onto, I threaded the coiled part all the way down the bolt (making sure it was good and snug) and dropped the bolt and bracket down the tube (you will look at it and think that this will never work, but it is engineered perfectly and works great.) And the bolt and bracket pulled right though and installed easily. I used a pair of needle nose pliers to grab the end of the bolt when I started to get the bolt though the bracket on the hitch. I didn't want to yank on the wire snake and chance it breaking or coming loose form the bolt and bracket, so the needle nose pliers worked great. The snake that came with my kit was very strong though, I don't think it would have broke. I also left the first bolt they have you install through the top of the bumper loose so I could work the hitch around a little to help get the bolts through. It took me longer to get out my tools and put them away then it did to actually install the hitch.

EASY INSTALL
The installation of the Tyger receiver hitch on my 2018 Ram 1500 was incredibly easy. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. The bolt hole cover was able to be re-installed after torquing the nuts to specs without any issues. It took me longer to remove the spare tire than to install the hitch. The entire process took approximately 30minutes, Thank you.

Good part.
Part installation was as expected. Was a little difficult to get the bolts on under the truck but then again I left the spare tire in place. The bolts were easy to snake through the frame. Would recommend to another. Bottom line, if the spare wasn't in place, installation would have been simple.

Good, but install can be awful, read below to learn from my mistakes.
This hitch works well and is very well priced. Installation can be very easy…or it can be an ordeal that takes hours and hours. I think my Install took 4 hours, 3 hours and 45 minutes to make every mistake possible and learn how to do it and 15 to do the whole thing. The instruction manual is super simple but assumes you know what you are doing. I’ve done a good amount work on cars so I’m not a total fool, but I had never worked with a fish wire, there was a bit of learning curve. Here is what I’ve learned;1. when securing the bolts to the fish wire secure them well but be sure that you only thread the tip of the bolts. if you over thread it the bolts will not fish through the holes.2. Don’t tighten anything until every thing is in place. This is pretty standard assembly advice.3. Bent nose pliers are essential for pulling the bolts thru.4. If you lose a bolt in the tube you can use a garden hose (just the hose no water) to push from one end of the tube to the other to get them out.5. You may end up ruining the threaded wire, if you do you can still use them by twisting the wires tight around the bolt tips.I hope you can learn from my experience, this is a well priced and effective hitch. Install is easy if you don’t make mistakes.

Better have a friend with a 12mm hex
I always watch a dozen videos before starting any project and this was no different. However the simple instructions were sufficient. I have a 2018 ram 1500. Had no issues with length of fishing wire. I prayed a lot getting the last bolt thru though because even though I never tightened any bolt down I couldnt squeeze the bolt thru the tube hole that lines up with the hitch hole. I was down to the last turn of wire and grabbed some needle nose pliers to finesse it the rest of the way out enough to get a nut on it then pulled it on thru. Nobody in eastern ky apparently owns a 12mm hex wrench or socket. Checked at Lowe’s, Advanced and car quest and no one had them and carquest couldn’t even find them in their order catalog. It’s all on except for torquing that hex bolt on down as soon as I find one. I’m gonna check at work with maintenance and see if they have one before ordering but other than that the install really wasn’t that bad. Cap fits back nicely and the receiver looks good. I did drop spare tire just to make it easier. Took 45 minutes but I was taking my time.
