Great book! This is exactly what I was looking for.

This book is great. The alphabets in this book are not the same old ones repeated to no end in books of this kind. As you can tell in the photos, I have marked quite a few that I intend on trying out for one project or another. I also like the examples of borders and corners it provides along with the spaces to attempt to combine techniques to create your own alphabet and template to create your own special envelopes. Not a how to book, but if you're looking for a book of "fonts" for you to copy, I definitely recommend you this book.

I could find these types of lettering and more on the web. I wasn’t to thrilled with the book

I've purchased several hand lettering books lately that have just missed the mark for me. Seems like most of them have been pretty basic: serif, sans, script, or the faux calligraphy that I honestly don't like. I wanted a variety of fonts and fresh alphabets, not just the same old stuff.And finally, here it is! Over 50 different styles and loads of ideas. I like the creative part of hand lettering, finding the right font for the right words and this book is a gem.

If you are looking for deep insight on doing more above lettering and calligraphy then look somewhere else, I dont recommend this book because this book is more of practicing book for beginner. One positive, it provides you idea to envision the idea of designing font.
