These are not what they used to be. I used to use these small black and red MicroSD card readers daily. Now the MicroSD cards do not fit, and I broke a 512GB card trying to push it in. Before you ask, I am putting in the card correctly. Other cards will not go in, so they do not read on my PC. These are defective garbage. Maybe they intend these to be used a keychain drives, so they make the MicroSD card really hard to get out? Either way, they are garbage to me. I just threw all 5 of them away.

The SD cards are a bit loose but still ok

These are not great quality. Of the five pieces, one was dead on arrival and one had to be epoxied to stay together. Three out of five were ok so I gave it three stars out of five. Inexpensive but marginal quality.

All 5 of mine worked fine in out-of-box testing. Some fit better in USB ports than others. They're also bigger than my tiny little Kingston that died while playing music in my car head unit USB port. But now I have 5 cheap-o's to replace it.Write speed is slow, but what did you expect for ~US$1? Glad I found these.

Out of the five only one allowed the SD card to be read. But even it was intermittent. Another would identify the SD card as long as I would squeeze it. As soon as I released it, the usb drive would go away. The other three never read the SD card no matter what I did. I have three of the old versions that look identical to these and they have always worked great. They also fit the usb slot perfectly. These new ones are very tight. Hard to insert and remove in the usb slot. Also, the SD cards do not fit well. These are useless. I will open them up to see what the problem is and either fix them or toss them in the trash. I can use the lanyards and the 6X SD card case that came with them. That's the only usefull part of this purchase.

don't know why I need a 5-pack, but these work.

2 out of 5 didn't register when plugged in to USB slot. When micro SD is inserted you can't tell if its seated in or not and doesn't go all the way in, it stays sticking out. Cheap plastic, poorly designed. So I got 3 out of 5 working, but i don't think they will keep working for a long time due to the cheap material.

Super cheap plastic, bad tolerances either micro SD doesn't fit or just basically falls out because it's too loose. The casing itself begins to separate and the USB A is usually too small to fit into a USB-A port on computers. Absolute and complete garbage cannot recommend would not recommend and definitely say stay away.
