EOX Plastic Moss Pole for Monstera and Climbing Plants, 15-Inch, 8-Pack

These moss poles have made a noticeable difference for my climbing plants. Since adding them, my plants have looked much healthier, with stronger growth and better support for aerial roots. The D-shaped design helps retain moisture well and encourages natural climbing. They are sturdy, easy to install, and provide excellent support as plants grow taller. A great investment for Monsteras and other climbing plants. Highly recommended!

UPDATE: They have since removed the plastic wrap on these poles, so there is no longer a need to peel that off before using (not that I ever did to begin with lol). Although It is nice to see that they are no longer producing extra unneeded plastic waste. I would still like to see the clips improved, but I think these poles have earned the five stars irregardless. I can say with 100% certainty that I wouldn’t purchase a different pole for my plants currently. These are cost effective and work just the same as the bigger brand name plastic poles. I see some reviews inquiring about extending the poles. You don’t need holes to zip tie the new pole onto the old one (but even if you feel that you do, grab a pair of scissors and make it happen then). All you need to do is simply slip the bottom of the new pole into the top of the old pole. Make sure you have plenty of moss filling the area where the two poles are connecting. You don’t want a gap in your moss, this will cause uneven watering and can eventually cause root rot. You want to make sure these poles are packed with moss so they water evenly and you can clearly see where the pole is wet and where it is dry. However, you do not want to pack these poles so tightly that your roots cannot breathe or move. That will defeat the purpose of using a moss pole. Remember, these are aerial roots that are attaching and growing into these poles. They need oxygen (hence the name). Once you have extended the pole you will need a garden stake, that’s not negotiable. I recommend plastic garden stakes as they don’t rot like wood. Slip it into the back of your pole and push it all the way down until it’s in the pot. I wouldn’t recommend extending these poles past three sections. At that point it’s time to do a chop and extend. That being said, I think there is some room for improvement. The plastic covers on the poles are very annoying to remove and I’m not quite sure what purpose they serve (I have actually left the plastic on all of mine because I couldn’t be bothered with removing it- so far no issues). The clips for the back can be pretty annoying to secure and I think the design for them could be improved. Other than that it’s a good product. Side note- if you’re having stability issues it’s important to remember this is a plastic pole. You cannot expect this product to provide 100% stability for very large plants- you’ll need to add a garden stake for that. But if your plant is around the size of mine and you’re having stability issues then you aren’t using it correctly.

First, this looks to be exactly the right support for my monstera standleyana. Plenty of potential toeholds on that broad front surface, and expandable upward as it grows. But I’ll join the chorus complaining about the tedious removal of the protective film. It’s waaay thinner than the film you’re used to covering all plastic consumer goods these days, and it self-destructs when you try to peel it from the perforated section. I ended up using duct tape to lift it off; a pain for sure, but better than picking it off bit by bit. Another issue is the way the edges fasten together when forming the cylindrical shape. You thread arrowhead-shaped tabs through slits in the opposite edge, with the tabs ending up inside the tube. To securely fasten, the tab needs to go in all the way past the rearmost points of the arrowhead so that the tab catches positively in the slot. Otherwise nothing will keep the tab from slipping back out as you’re packing the tube with moss. But there’s no way you can exert enough force from the outside of the tube to get the tab to go that far in. At the ends of the tube, you can reach in with your fingers to pull the tabs firmly enough to catch, but you can’t do that with the tabs further up in the tube. I ended up reaching in through the front square holes with needle nose pliers to grab the tips of the tabs and pull them home. That was way harder than it should have been. So yeah, I love what I ended up with, but hated getting there.

Using this for my pothos. Very easy to install, & durable. Love that it comes with 4 for multiple height adjustments or usage. Very stable in my pot & seems to be working great so far.

This was exactly what I needed to get my Monstera climbing upright again! I wasn’t ready to cut her back yet, so this moss pole was the perfect solution. The setup was easy and straightforward—I simply installed the pole and filled it with sphagnum moss. I especially love the D-shape design because it takes up less space in the pot. I’m looking forward to using these on my remaining Monsteras!

Not bad but was hoping for a more heavy duty plastic. Is wayy too flimsy. You have to have something to hold it in place.

These 24 inch plastic poles worked beautifully with sphagnum moss for several of my plants, and the results speak for themselves. I’ve used a lot of different support poles over the years, and these are easily among the best. They’re sturdy, they pack tightly with moss, and they stay upright without bending or collapsing. I used them on multiple plants — including pothos, philodendron, and monstera — and each one attached quickly and started climbing exactly the way I hoped. The clear plastic gives a clean look, the ventilation grid helps the moss dry evenly, and the stacking design makes it simple to add height as the plant grows. The quality exceeded my expectations, and I’m very pleased with how each setup turned out. These poles have absolutely elevated my plant game. (Photos included so you can see how great they work!)

After making my own moss poles for a while I was noticing they were drying out faster than I could hydrate them. Ideally I wanted a D shape moss pole like this one and I am beyond pleased with it. They did do away with the film from previous reviews so that was awesome because who wants to peel all that? they were pretty simple to put together. Placing it in the bottom of the pot and filling it with soil gave me good stability and if the form is full of moss it's pretty solid, which I was initially concerned. I've had them about two weeks and I even jumped the gun on re hydrating them they've stayed consistently moist where as my home made ones needed hydrating every few days. They water easily with a water bottle so no more trips to the sink or trying with a mister or spray bottle. They also stacked well for me I gave it about six inches and filled it with moss for my florida ghost and I genuinely don't think it will fall over. i also think theyre fairly attractive for mosspoles and i am really enjoying all the extra space for my arial roots to attach since its a hollow form with no core. Overall I will more than likely purchase again, they worked great and they're relatively cheap.

🌟 3 MONTH UPDATE 🌟 🤩 my philodendron micans has been loving this pole. I have a sphagnum moss/perlite mixture to fill the pole and have added an extension. The spacing of the squares on the pole is perfect, it gives much opportunity for nodes to root into the pole. The leaves have definitely grown larger. I read the specs prior to ordering but I was blown away by size and sturdiness when these arrived. They are very easy to put together and hold moisture. Better than other moss poles that are double the price on the market. 10/10 recommend! I will be repurchasing for more plants!

The “moss pole” is terrible. It comes as a flat plastic sheet that refuses to roll into a proper D-shape or cylinder — it just springs back into a weird triangle. Assembly is frustrating, the cheap plastic tears easily, and it doesn’t help the plant climb at all. Total waste of money. Do not buy.
