This is a good, affordable, replacement charger for my Dell Inspiron notebook. I rate it four stars, not 5, because slips out of the notebook's power inlet a little too often and too easily when I have the computer on my lap. I've gotten a warning several times that the power supply is not recognized while its plugged in. After detaching and reattaching the the power supply the warning message went away and then the notebook worked OK. I would prefer that the power cord was a foot or two longer...probably just a nit pick on my part.

I bought a Dell computer in November of 2018. Out of no where the batter pack just stopped working and sent error messages. The computer is only 5 months old. I could not charge the computer so quickly started researching for a replacement. I ordered two of these chargers because reviews were mixed on them. They were delivered within 48 hours, plugged in and had my computer working within minutes. I don't know how long they will last but they were a good value for the money.

My Dell Inspiron has been showing me a pop up message every few days that I'm not charging my computer with the correct 45 watt genuine Dell charger, and I may have a problem. It's odd, because that's all I have ever used, it was the charger that came with my Dell. So after reading some reviews, I see that there is a smart chip in the charger that may have failed. Last week my BIOS warned me that my battery was getting weak, and should be replaced, so I bought both, on Amazon, and I am now getting the fast charging, and long lasting battery life that I had when my computer was new. Couldn't be happier.
