Dual SIM Case for iPhone 4

This item worked well for me. I used it with two sim cards, UK in position 1 and a German sim card in position 2, both O2. Interestingly, I had to reset the phone when moving from the UK to German sim. When moving from German sim (2) to the UK sim (1), it was just a case of simply sliding the switch and in a few seconds the coverage bars returned with the new carrier logo displayed but not the other way round.I prefer my phone in a wallet or pouch that protects the screen and can hold a couple of cards.The rubberised case does make the phone a little fatter in all directions and thus no 'specific for iPhone' wallet or pouch can be used. I had to search around trying different phone wallets and pouches until I found a universal pouch that could accommodate the increased girth.After 6 months use, the case is still working OK. There were a couple of things that I noticed. The hole for the headphone socket was too small for my headphone plug to be pushed in properly and I had to make the whole bigger in the holder. The volume adjustments buttons are very stiff/heavy.Slight niggles rather than major problems and the use of the case reduce my roaming bills by 10 pounds per month so has paid for itself..

I didn't even know these kind of cases existed until I happened to stumble across them online but what I great idea! I bought one to go travelling so I could have my English sim card and foreign one too. It is a little annoying having to turn the phone off to switch the sims, it would be great if the phone companies could enable the software to do this whilst the phone is on but for now it's unavoidable. For that reason I wouldn't recommend it for people with say business and personal phones that are both in use regularly throughout the day but if you're travelling like me and only want to check messages once every day or so then it's perfect. It keeps your sim safe, it's heavy duty so it protects the phone if you drop it and it's easy to put together with clear instructions.

Bought this for my wife as she has just been given a new iphone 4 at her new job and she had an old 3GS for her own sim. The case is easy to install and fits snugly around the phone. The product lost points for two reasons; first is the fact that you have to switch the phone off to change sims, secondly although both sims work well, her own sim does not send SMS messages. It receives calls and texts but cannot send texts. This might be due to an iphone setting, so if anyone reads this and knows the answer, please comment.

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Bit bulky although that's to be expected. Also, the sim slots on the case are very fragile. I tried to get a sim out in a rush and broke the entire thing off. I'm sure if you're gentle that's not an issue - bit annoying for me though. Also you have to turn your phone off every time you switch sims, which is a slight inconvenience but understandable why you have to do it.

While others have claimed airplane mode would suffice to switch between the SIM cards, this may require not having a PIN code on either of them - anyway for me it was also necessary to pull out the SIM card (or go for the recommended way, which is switching the phone off&on). So the big gain of a dual SIM case would hence be that all the tools and SIM cards are safely stored, which is the case here - but it's quite a big add-on to an otherwise fairly slim device.

The case does its work as expected. It also provides good protection to the iPhone, covering all corners. It's very easy to assemble, although you need to get used to removing the top section. Another good feature is the ability to store the original SIM card tray inside the case, as well as providing a clip to detach the tray from the iPhone. However, the rubberized cover on the case is very fragile and starts coming off quite fast (corners in about 1 week, edges in 2-3 weeks).

I have had this Dual Sim Case (for iPhone 4) now for several months. I commute between the UK and India. It works incredibly well in both places. You do need to switch off the phone completely (not just airplane mode) before flipping from Sim 1 to Sim 2 but you can do so anyway during the flight. The case is easy to install and is very robust. Apple had to unlock my UK Sim but that was easily done, perhaps a day or so of non use at the start whilst I sorted this sort off issue out but I was soon up and running. Not having to carry two phones with two sets of contacts, diaries etc has simplified life tremendously and I am very pleased with this.

Bit disappointed as this could be a good product. However the sim holders are a very flimsy plastic and wont last long at all. As others have mentioned, the case hole for the mute switch is wrongly cut and does not line up making it very difficult to mute the iPhone. The volume buttons are so stiff that they are very difficult to work. Overall the quality is pretty poor. I couldn't get a sim change by going to airplane mode as I had read. I need to power off then on again to effect a change and with an iPhone takes an eternity. This is no reflection on the product, just a feature of the iPhone.
